Although this camera will have a slightly smaller sensor than the new Panasonic Lumix L10, it will also cost less than $1,000, making it an appealing option for enthusiast photographers looking for a portable yet powerful device.

    Design Departure from the G7 X Mark III

    What is new is the information that this compact camera will be fundamentally different from the PowerShot G7 X Mark III, meaning that Canon is to develop a new design for a compact camera with a focus on photography instead of video for the first time in years. This shift in strategy suggests Canon is listening to feedback from users who prioritise still image quality over video features, potentially leading to improved ergonomics and a more dedicated shooting experience.

    Nobody likes price hikes, and both the Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch 2 have seen substantial price increases since launch—but Nintendo Switch 2’s was executed in such a way that the handheld still provides a more performant gaming experience versus cheaper PC handhelds from Anbernic and even more expensive handhelds like the ROG Xbox Ally.

    Gaming Performance Compared to PC Handhelds

    In terms of pure gaming performance, the Nintendo Switch 2 handily outclasses both the AMD Ryzen Z2 A leveraged by most entry-level PC handhelds and the custom AMD “Aerith” SoC used by the Steam Deck. PC handhelds don’t get stronger than the Nintendo Switch 2 until you start breaching AMD Z1 and Z2 Extreme-based handhelds…and those are scarcely available below $1000 if you’re not buying used. Add in Nintendo Switch 2’s developer tailoring and “mini DLSS”, and it becomes difficult to justify spending twice as much for only marginal performance gains in titles like Cyberpunk 2077.

    From a PC Gamer’s Perspective

    As a lifelong PC gamer, its an unfortunate admission for me to make that Nintendo Switch 2 has effectively flipped the script from when the Steam Deck launched. While Steam Deck LCD was indeed slightly more expensive than the Switch 1 at $399 USD over $299, it was substantially more powerful in the same games and included tons of extra features thanks to being a fully-fledged PC beneath its controller-friendly SteamOS interface.

    Steam Deck OLED’s launch at $549 changed the argument slightly, but with Switch OLED costing $349, the argument to spend $200 on a powerful handheld PC rather than Switch’s antiquated Tegra X1 chipset was strong. Steam Deck OLED’s launch pricing was so strong, even, that technically-superior handheld PCs without OLED screens struggled to compete with the device.

    Current State of Handheld Pricing

    Even now, handheld PCs launching without an OLED display are criticized for cost-cutting even as they push 1080p and 120-144 Hz. That omission is really the only major weakness of Switch 2 compared to PC handhelds at this point, but Nintendo’s latest & greatest is running circles around them when it comes to price-for-performance. Sadly for handheld gamers, handheld PCs have become harder than ever to justify buying.

      The breach exposed thousands of unique email addresses tied to Atlas Menu’s user base. However, the stolen data also included usernames, IP addresses, support tickets, and passwords stored as bcrypt hashes.

      Complete Silence From Company

      What’s interesting is that Atlas Menu has not released any statement about the breach. There has been no public acknowledgement, warning to users, or explanation about what happened. On top of that, the platform itself is no longer accessible, leaving users without any official source of information.

      Immediate Steps for Affected Users

      For anyone who was using Atlas Menu, now is probably a good time to take security seriously. The first thing users should do is change the password associated with the email account they used on the service. More importantly, if that same password was used on other websites, services, or gaming accounts, those passwords should be changed immediately as well.

This should be enough to achieve a GPU clock of up to 2,760 MHz. For comparison: Nvidia specifies a boost clock of 2,410 MHz, while the older ROG Astral achieves 2,610 MHz, making the Limited Edition around 5.7 percent faster on paper.

      Cooling and Exclusive Features

      To maintain this performance even during longer gaming sessions, Asus installs four fans, which are combined with liquid metal, a vapor chamber and copper heat pipes as heat conductors. The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 is also intended to set itself apart from other graphics cards with its exclusive design. To this end, Asus has installed a transparent glass backplate that provides a view of the mainboard and also includes a removable, curved AMOLED display that can display content via a corner of the graphics card, giving it a 3D appearance.

      Its hard to glean the exact tone from text, but there seem to be hints of superiority baked into the welcoming message. Qualcomm made quite a few advancements with ARM through the Snapdragon X Elite, X Plus, C, and the upcoming X2 series chips. But it took them quite a few years to reach this point. That said, the efficiency gains that come from the platform are nothing to shirk at. Even Apple’s M-series chips are ARM-based, and thanks to the software and hardware level optimizations, they are extremely capable.

      Windows on ARM Compatibility Concerns

      The major concern with Windows on ARM is compatibility, but both Qualcomm and app developers have made solid headway in that department, as well. With RTX Spark, Nvidia seems to have made it a non-issue, promising compatibility with every Windows app.

      Bloomberg has now been able to reveal details about a new feature of the Wallet app in advance, after Bloomberg editor Mark Gurman previously revealed information about new camera features and the Siri app. According to the new report, the Wallet app of the Apple iPhone can scan bills via the camera after the update to iOS 27 and split the bill amount between several people.

      How the Bill Splitting Function Works

      For example, if a restaurant bill is scanned, all dishes and drinks, including their price, will be listed separately so that they can be assigned to the respective person. IOS then automatically sends messages to these people, which can be used to pay the corresponding amount with just a few clicks. According to Bloomberg, this function can be accessed either in the Wallet app or in Apple’s Messages app.

      Availability Limited to Apple Cash Users

      To pay the amount, Apple Cash is to be used – a feature that allows money to be easily transferred from one iPhone to another, although this service is currently only available in the USA. This could mean that this new feature for splitting bills will not be offered at all in other regions, or only in a slimmed-down form. In order to seriously compete with apps such as Venmo, Apple would also have to offer a version of this feature for Android smartphones, which is not currently planned, at least according to the Bloomberg report.

      Lenovo has now increased the availability of the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 to Europe and North America, meaning thier affordable 16-inch notebook is finally landing in these regions after a prior launch in Australia, East Asia and Southeast Asia at the end of May.

      Processor options and performance context

      The ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 can be configured in Europe with up to a Core Ultra 7 355 or a Core Ultra 5 336H. These chips shoud provide more power than the Core Ultra 7 255U-based Gen 3 model we reviewed in July 2025, though our benchmarks show that the Core Ultra 7 255H-powered sibling (currently $1,289 on Amazon) holds an edge over the Gen 4. Notwithstand this, the laptop also comes with these display options.

      Memory, storage and other configurable features

      You can get 16 GB or 32 GB of DDR5-5600 RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of M.2 2242 PCIe Gen 4 storage. A 48 Wh or 64 Wh battery is configurable, along with a fingerprint reader and Wi-Fi 7. Finishes include ABS or aluminium, but only in Eclipse Black colour. There is no mention of any other color at all sadly.

      Pricing and starting specifications

      In the UK, the ThinkPad E16 Gen 4 starts at £1,410, while Eurozone pricing ranges between €1,359 and €1,670, including taxes. The US price is $1,399 and in Canada it is CAD $1,939. All base models feature a Core Ultra 5 325 processor and 16 GB of RAM. This device comes equipped with Auto HDR Tone Mapping, built-in stereo speakers, two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, two USB Type-A ports, and a single USB Type-C port. An optional DualSense Charging Hook accessory will also be available that attaches to the monitor’s stand.
