Grand Seiko SBGA523: Limited Peacock Spring Drive Watch

    Key Takeaway

    – Limited to 200 pieces, exclusive to Daimaru department stores in Japan (¥825,000)
    – Translucent mint-green dial with a peacock feather pattern symbolizing growth
    – 40mm stainless steel case using Grand Seiko’s classic 44GS design with Zaratsu polishing
    – Powered by the 9R Spring Drive movement, accurate to ±15 seconds per month with 72-hour power reserve
    – Japan-only release starting in early October 2026

Grand Seiko’s new SBGA523 is a limited-edition Spring Drive watch created exclusively for Japanese department store chain Daimaru. Set to release in early October 2026, the watch is limited to just 200 pieces distributed across five Daimaru locations — Shinsaibashi, Kyoto, Kobe, Tokyo, and Sapporo — and carries a retail price of ¥825,000 including tax (approximately $5,700).

    Dial Design and Inspiration

The dial is what seals the deal in this collaboration. Its translucent mint-green color is overlaid with a diagonal feather pattern drawn from Daimaru’s corporate symbol, the peacock. The sweeping, upward-rising lines are a reference to growth and aspiration, and the see-through quality of the teal finish gives the dial a depth that shifts with light and viewing angle. This here creates an almost three-dimensional effect that really catches the eye from any angle you look at it from.

    Case Construction and Dimensions

The case is based on Grand Seiko’s classic 44GS design lineage. It features the brand’s signature Zaratsu-polished flat surfaces that create sharp, mirror-like transitions between facets. It measures 46.2 x 40.0 mm with a thickness of 12.5 mm and is built in stainless steel. The caseback carries an individual “1 of 200” engraving alongside a display back for movement viewing, allowing collectors to observe the mechanics working behind the sapphire crystal window.

    Movement and Performance

Inside sits the 9R Spring Drive caliber — Grand Seiko’s proprietary movement that uses a mainspring for power while relying on an integrated circuit and quartz oscillator to regulate timekeeping. The result is a rated accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, or roughly ±1 second per day, which is exceptional for a mechanically-driven watch. Power reserve stands at 72 hours, or about three days on a full wind. This movement is actually quite unique in the watch world because it combines traditional mechanical energy with electronic regulation for superior precision.

    Availability and Market Position

The SBGA523 is a Japan-only release with no broader availability indicated yet. Because of the limited production numbers and the exclusive distribution through only five Daimaru locations, this timepiece is likely to attract strong interest from collectors both domestically and internationally who appreciate rare Grand Seiko collaborations.

Citizen’s New Space-Inspired Watch Hits US and UK Early

Following its official announcment and following listing on Citizen Taiwan’s website, the new limited-edition Citizen Attesa satellite watch has now made its way to two off its biggest markets. While Citizen originally announce that the watch would go on sale globally sometime in July, the premium timepeice has already popped up for sale early in both the US and the UK.

    Pricing and Availability Details

The Citizen Attesa CC4107-80H Satellite Wave GPS watch is know available for purchase in the US for $2,195. Its also been listed on Citizen UK’s online store with a price tag of £1,595. Buyers in Japan will have to wait a bit longer, where its scheduled to land on July 2nd for ¥385,000.

    Limited Edition and Design

Citizen is making only 1,800 units of this model available worldwide, and it commands a serious wrist presense with its aggressive “Spaceship Black” aesthetic. The 43.2mm case is forged from dark gray DLC-coated Super Titanium, while the octagonal bezel and the integrated bracelet’s center links are crafted from recrystalized titanium, resulting in distinct crystal patterns unique to each watch. To form these natural mineral-like crystalline patterns, Citizen says the titanium is exposed to extreme heat, followed by a cooling process.

    Crystalline Dial and Bezel

The crystalline finishing also carries over to the gunmetal grey dial, which features three sub-dials and a neat date window tucked between 4 and 5 o’clock. Moreover, the dial is framed by a ceramic UTC bezel.

  • Citizen Eco-Drive One Ultra-Thin Watch Green Dial

    Key Takeaway

    – Striking emerald green dial with rose gold accents and refined finishing
    – Ultra-thin 3.88mm case, among the slimmest solar-powered watches available
    – Powered by Citizen’s 1.0mm Eco-Drive movement, eliminating battery changes
    – Comfort-focused design with 5 ATM water resistance and contoured case back
    – Limited to 250 pieces worldwide, priced at $3,395

A First Look at This Emerald Timekeeper

If you’ve been thinking of splurging on a sophisticated dress watch that really stands out from the crowd, you might want to check out Citizen’s newest Eco-Drive One. Originally unveiled in Japan in late May, the watch has now officially made its way to the US.

    Design That Captures the Eye

The Citizen Eco-Drive One AR5065-54W is visually arresting. It sports a unique emerald green dial with a brushed texture surrounding its deep black center, complemented by shimmering rose gold hands, markers, and an inner ring. The striking color combination gives the watch a refined yet contemporary personality, while the contrast between the dark center and vibrant green outer section adds depth and visual intrigue.

    Incredibly Slim Solar Technology

Like other models in the Eco-Drive One collection, the AR5065-54W is defined by its remarkable thinness, measuring just 3.88mm thick—making it one of the slimmest solar-powered watches on the market. On the inside, you’ll findll find Citizen’s ultra-thin Eco-Drive 8826 movement, which itself measures only 1.0mm thick. Powered by light, the movement eliminates the need for regular battery replacements while maintaining an accuracy rating of ±15 seconds per month.

A Case That Balances Sport and Elegance

The sporty case design features sharp lines and four prominent screws on the bezel, giving the otherwise elegant dress watch a subtle technical edge. Citizen has also paid close attention to finishing. The stainless steel case and bracelet feature a refined hairline-brushed treatment, while the bezel’s beveled edges receive a mirror-like Zaratsu polish, creating a contrast between matte and glossy surfaces.

    Built for Wrist Comfort

Comfort was clearly a priority during development. The case back adopts a two-piece construction without a traditional removable case back, which Citizen says helped achieve both the watch’s extreme thinness and its 5 ATM water resistance rating. The rear portion of the case is also shaped to better conform to the wrist.

    Limited Edition Pricing and Availability

Limited to 250 pieces worldwide, Citizen’s limited-edition Eco-Drive One goes on sale in the US for $3,395. It will be available directly from the company’s online store.

      – Unique crystal patterns on each watch due to high-temperature treatment and DLC coating
      – Powered by F950 caliber with world’s fastest GPS signal reception (3 seconds)
      – 44mm case, 10 bar water resistance, dual-spherical sapphire crystal
      – Limited to 1,800 units worldwide; Taiwan pricing at NT$84,800 (~$2,600)

Citizen Taiwan Drops New Attesa Watch

Citizen Taiwan has formally announced the Attesa CC4107-80H. This brand new limited-edition GPS watch uses the companys recrystallized titanium construction but now in a all-black colorway. The run is capped at 1,800 units and intended for worldwide availability, though it currently appears only on the Taiwan regional site at NT$84,800 (roughly $2,600).

      Design and Construction Details

The watch is built around a 44 mm Super Titanium case with a Duratect DLC coating and measures 13.7 mm thick. The primary design detail is the same recrystallized titanium used on the bracelet center links and bezel that debuted in Citizens Attesa Platinum Shine Collection last October. Recrystallized titanium is created by applying high-temperature heat treatment followed by a cooling process — this process produces unique crystal patterns on the surface, and each one is unique to every watch, much like patterns found in natural minerals. Here, the process is applied to a full DLC-black context rather then the silver Platinum Shine treatment, which gives the CC4107-80H a darker, more agressive character.

      Movement and Feature Set

Powering the watch is Citizens F950 caliber. Its the most advanced movement for Eco-Drive Satellite Wave GPS watches, capable of receiving time signals in as little as three seconds, which is the worlds fastest GPS satellite signal reception. The feature set covers world time across 39 time zones, a chronograph, perpetual calender, alarm, and power reserve indicator. The crystal is a dual-spherical sapphire with anti-reflective coating on both sides, and water resistance is rated at 10 bar.

      Platinum Shine Collection Context

The complete Attesa Platinum Shine Collection debuted in October 2025 with three models in limited runs of 1,400 to 2,500 pieces worldwide. The CC4107-80H slots neatly into that lineup, albeit with a tighter production run then those predecessors.

      Pricing and Global Release

Global availability is confirmed, but pricing outside Taiwan hasnt been announced yet. Meanwhile, you can check out the Citizen CB5908-57E on Amazon.

Casio’s “Magma Gold” Mudmaster Hits US Market

Casio’s long-anticipated “Magma Gold” Mudmaster has quietly gone on sale in the United States. It is now listed on the official G-Shock website as the GWGB1000MG19 at $900.

From Leaked Images to Retail Shelves

The watch has had a lengthily road to retail, to be fair. The model number first surfaced towards the end of 2025, with the first leaked image emerging in February 2026. At the time, a late 2026 release was on the cards, though more recent reports brought that forward to May 2026 for Japan. A French retailer subsequently placed the European release in June 2026 at €899, while the US window was unconfirmed — until now.

Design Inspired by Lava and Rock

Casio is marketing the GWGB1000MG19 under the “Magma Gold” theme. Its color palette has been drawn from flowing lava and solidifying rock. The dial features intense red and orange hands and indexes against a dark case with a gold ion-plated bezel. The band uses what the company refers to as “Garal color molding” — a technique that combines resins of different colors to create marbled patterns, just like geological strata. The case uses a black precision-forged metal construction with a Carbon Core Guard structure, with bio-based resin used throughout. The result is a chunky watch that measures 58.7 × 52.1 × 16.2 mm and weighs 114 g.

      Full Suite of Mudmaster Features

Feature-wise, this is a full-fat Mudmaster. The Triple Sensor covers compass, altimeter, and barometric pressure, along side a thermometer. It’s solar-powered with Multi-Band 6 radio control, Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, a Location Indicator function, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, DLC-treated stainless steel, and 200-meter water resistance. The watch ships in special limited edition packaging.

      Built for Extreme Conditions

The Mudmaster line is basically built for harsh terrestrial environments, with mud-resistant buttons and a screw-lock crown to keep debris out. At $900, the Magma Gold is definately sitting at the premium end of the Master of G lineup, along side a full suite of hardware to match.

Citizen Titanium Watch Limited-Edition Blue Washi Dial

      Key Takeaway

      – Citizen launched the first light-powered analog watch in 1976, pioneering Eco-Drive technology that eliminates battery changes.
      – The new limited edition AQ4094-58L features a blue washi paper dial, which is semi-transparent to allow light to reach the solar cells.
      – Limited to 400 pieces worldwide, it is powered by the Caliber A060 movement, accurate to ±5 seconds per year with a perpetual calendar until 2100.
      – The case and bracelet are made from Super Titanium with Duratect hardening, weighing only 87.7 g despite a 40 mm case.
      – Priced at approximately $4,200 USD, it includes a 5-year warranty and 10 bar water resistance.

Five decades ago, Citizen changed perceptions of watch batteries.

Back in 1976, Citizen introduced the worlds first light-powered analog wristwatch, the technology now called Eco-Drive, which eliminates battery replacements completly by converting light into energy. To celebrate this milestone, the brand has debuts a new limited edition within its premium “The Citizen” line, with this Hong Kong exclusive featuring a blue washi paper dial not found on the global version.

      The limited edition AQ4094-58L

The AQ4094-58L is limited to merely 400 pieces globally, which is tighter then the 650-piece allocation for the green-dialled AQ4091-56W that launched earlier in May 2026. The dial is constructed from traditional Japanese washi paper, chosen for both its aesthetic qualities and practical properties—washi paper is semi-transparent, allowing light to pass through to the solar cells beneath. The deep navy surface shows depth shifts depending on the angle of light, complemented by applied gold indices, dauphine hands, and the gold eagle emblem at six o’clock.

      Movement and materials

Beneath that dial beats the Caliber A060 Eco-Drive movement, which is accurate to ±5 seconds per year and features a perpetual calendar programmed to work until 2100. The case and bracelet uses Super Titanium with Duratect surface hardening, reducing the total weight to just 87.7 grams despite the 40 mm case diameter. Additional specs includes sapphire glass with anti-reflective coating, plus 10 bar (100 meters) water resistance. Citizen previously released a washi paper dial for the 30th Anniversary Eco-Drive edition, making this 50th anniversary variant a continuation of the brands signature material for big releases.

      Pricing and warranty

The AQ4094-58L carries a price tag of HK$32,880 (roughly $4,200 USD) and comes with a 5-year warranty. This particular Hong Kong variant provides a unique colour option for collectors seeking exclusivity.

      – ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 is a limited, oversized 4.7-slot GPU with a transparent glass backplate and curved AMOLED display.
      – It features four fans, liquid metal, a vapor chamber, and copper heat pipes for extreme cooling.
      – The card uses a 12V power connector plus BTF mainboard power, enabling up to 800W total for a 2,760 MHz boost clock (5.7% faster than the regular ROG Astral).
      – Part of a broader 20th-anniversary lineup including the ROG Ally X20 and ROG NUC 16.
      – Price and availability have not yet been announced.

      ROG’s 20th Anniversary Surprise

To mark the 20th anniversary of the Republic of Gamers brand, Asus has unveiled a range of unusual products, from the ROG Xbox Ally X20 to a limited version of the ROG NUC 16 mini PC to the ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20.

      Bigger & Faster Design

The limited edition not only looks far more eye-catching than the regular ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090, the graphics card is also larger. This is because the Edition 20 measures 36.1 x 13.9 x 9.4 centimeters, which is 4.7 slots thick according to Asus. Asus combines a 12-volt high-power power connector with its own BTF power supply via the mainboard, which means that the graphics card can be supplied with up to 800 watts of power in total. This should be enough to achieve a GPU clock of up to 2,760 MHz. For comparison: Nvidia specifies a boost clock of 2,410 MHz, while the older ROG Astral achieves 2,610 MHz, making the Limited Edition around 5.7 percent faster on paper.

      Cooling and Exclusive Features

To maintain this performance even during longer gaming sessions, Asus installs four fans, which are combined with liquid metal, a vapor chamber and copper heat pipes as heat conductors. The ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20 is also intended to set itself apart from other graphics cards with its exclusive design. To this end, Asus has installed a transparent glass backplate that provides a view of the mainboard and also includes a removable, curved AMOLED display that can display content via a corner of the graphics card, giving it a 3D appearance.

      Display & Availability

In addition to 3D graphics, the display can also show information on the system load. Asus has not yet commented on the price or availability of the graphics card. Further information can be found on the official product page.
