Motorola is reportedly planning to release a new version of its flip-style phone, according to a report by MSPowerUser. The publication recently shared a render of the upcoming Moto Razr phone, which maintains the familiar look of previous models.
The Razr Plus 2024: A Familiar Design
The new model, potentially named the Razr Plus 2024 and codenamed Glory (model number XT-2453-3), is expected to follow the Razr 40 Ultra/Plus. It is anticipated to be exclusively available through Verizon Wireless in the US.
The design of the Razr+ features a cover display on one half, with two camera rings positioned on the top-right, similar to previous Razr models. Additionally, the Razr+ is likely to sport a contemporary classic grey finish. When the phone is flipped open, it retains the familiar appearance of previous models, with a punch-hole camera in the center for selfies.
Enhanced Performance and Battery Life
The Razr+ is expected to deliver improved performance and a longer battery life, thanks to a new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. However, the exact model of the chipset has not been confirmed yet. The current Motorola Razr utilizes the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset.
Motorola’s Journey in Foldable Phones
Motorola entered the foldable phone market with the release of the Razr 40 in 2020, followed by the Razr 40 Ultra and Razr 40 Plus in 2021. In this competitive market, Motorola aims to differentiate itself from big players like Samsung, Huawei, and Xiaomi through its unique design and user experience.
Release Date and Pricing
Although the official release date and price of the Razr+ have not been announced yet, it is expected to launch in the first half of 2024. As more information becomes available, we will keep you updated on any new developments regarding this foldable phone.
