  • Deal: Beloved RTS PC Game Now Only $5 on Steam

    Key Takeaway

    – Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is currently 75% off ($5), matching its lowest-ever price.
    – The remaster includes 4K support, a redesigned interface, quality-of-life improvements, and The Rise of Rome expansion.
    – Gameplay retains the classic RTS formula, progressing from the Stone Age to the Iron Age.
    – Critic scores are moderate (79/100 GameStar, 69 Metascore), but Steam user reviews are strong (84% positive).
    – Steam Deck compatibility is listed as “Playable.”

Steam isnt just offering a rare discount on Age of Empires IV right now; the remastered version of the very first game in the series has also returned to its best price yet. Age of Empires: Definitive Edition is currently available for around $5 instead of $20 with a 75% discount, which according to SteamDB matches its lowest price to date. Originally released for PC in 1997, Age of Empires quickly became a cult classic among real-time strategy fans – and the Steam trailer even calls it “one of History’s most beloved PC Games.”

    Gameplay and Historical Eras

The first Age of Empires takes players through the early eras of human history, from the Stone Age to the Iron Age. Players lead historical civilizations such as the Egyptians, Greeks, Babylonians and Yamato, gather resources, build settlements and expand their armies. The core gameplay follows the classic RTS formula: villagers collect wood, food, stone and gold, which are then used to construct buildings, research technologies and train military units. Advancing through the ages gradually unlocks stronger troops, new economic options and additional military buildings. In addition to battles against AI opponents, the game also includes historical campaigns and multiplayer matches.

    Definitive Edition Features

Released in 2019, Age of Empires: Definitive Edition modernizes the classic in several areas without losing its original charm. The remaster adds 4K support, a redesigned interface and numerous quality-of-life improvements that make managing large armies noticeably more convenient. In terms of content, the package includes the expansion The Rise of Rome, revised campaigns, a newly recorded soundtrack and modern online features for multiplayer matches.

    Review Scores and Performance

In its review, German gaming magazine GameStar awarded Age of Empires: Definitive Edition 79 out of 100 points. The core gameplay was described as timeless and still functional today. The extensive graphical overhaul and usability improvements were also praised. However, the modernized 1990s RTS still does not play quite as smoothly as a modern strategy game. The AI occasionally struggles with pathfinding, units can block each other or move in awkward formations, and there are some performance issues as well as a weakly presented story. For those reasons, the modernized Age of Empires only reaches a Metascore of 69 and a User Score of 6.9 on Metacritic. On Steam, however, the game performs noticeably better, with around 84% positive reviews from roughly 15,000 user ratings. Another advantage: Steam Deck compatibility is listed as “Playable.”

  • Galaxy S27 Pro to Match S27 Ultra in Another Key Area

Galaxy S27 Pro to Match S27 Ultra in Another Key Area

    Key Takeaway

    – Galaxy S27 Pro may feature a 5,000 mAh battery, matching the Galaxy S27 Ultra’s capacity.
    – Its 6.47-inch display is slightly smaller than the Ultra, potentially offering better battery life.
    – The Pro model is rumored to share the same primary and ultra-wide sensors as the Ultra.
    – These specifications are based on leaks and are not officially confirmed.

The Galaxy S27 Pro is shaping up to be a powerhouse, borrowing some features from the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Of course, all these specifications are only rumors at this point, but a new leak has hinted at another upgrade for the Galaxy S27 Pro, despite its smaller size compared to the Ultra. This device is suppose to give users high-end performance without the massive footprint.

    Battery Life and Display Specs

Late last month, we learnt that the Galaxy S27 Pro will come with a 6.47-inch display. This makes it 0.2 inches larger than the Galaxy S27 and 0.2 inches smaller than the Galaxy S27 Plus. Compared to the Galaxy S27 Ultra, it is 0.4 inches smaller, but apparently, that smaller size hasn’t stopped Samsung from packing the same size battery. As per leaker kro on X, the Galaxy S27 Pro will come with a 5,000 mAh battery.

    Same Battery as the Ultra

While the leaker doesn’t mention the Galaxy S27 Pro by name, they mention “Galaxy Pro” and a 6.5-inch screen size, which lines up with the Galaxy S27 Pro. This puts the battery capacity of the Pro model at the same level as the Galaxy S27 Ultra, also expected to come with 5,000 mAh. This should, however, translate to even better battery life than the Ultra, due to its efficiency in a smaller chassis, the phone will likely last longer on a single charge.

    Camera and Size Comparisons

Along with the same battery capacity, the Pro model and the Ultra are also expected to come with the same new primary and ultra-wide sensors. This means the Pro wont sacrifice camera quality for size, making it a fantastic choice for photographers who prefer a compact device. Seeing as how the 6.5-inch (or 6.47-inch) Galaxy S27 Pro can come with a 5,000 mAh battery, the larger Galaxy S27 Plus should also come with at least 5,000 mAh. We’ll have to wait till February next year for official confirmation, but the leaks are looking promising for Samsung fans.

Nothing CMF Phone 3 Pro: Affordable 50 MP Tele Camera Smartphone Q3 Launch

    Key Takeaway

    – CMF Phone 3 Pro expected in Aug/Sep 2025, with an affordable Nothing Phone launching beforehand.
    – Upgrades: Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, 5,400 mAh battery, 45W fast charging, improved power efficiency.
    – Camera boost: 50 MP telephoto + 50 MP main + 8 MP ultra-wide; flat 120 Hz OLED display, stereo speakers, 16 MP selfie camera; plastic frame.

Nothing is said to be taking a little longer than previously expected until the launch of the CMF Phone 3 Pro. After CMF Phone 2 Pro appeared in May 2025, rumors swirl about what is next, with a mid-range target and a more affordable model unveiled earlier. The latest whispers place the new launch around August or September, though details remain scarce.

Speculations on the CMF Phone 3 Pro’s Core

Speculation, as fed by leaks, centers on a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 replacing the Dimensity 7300 Pro, promising around a 10 percent uplift in CPU speed. Additionally, the quad-core configuration includes four Cortex-A720 performance cores and four Cortex-A520 efficiency cores, which is expected to help with power efficiency. Battery capacity is rumored to grow from 5,000 mAh to about 5,400 mAh, and charging could reach up to 45 watts, marking a notable upgrade in charging speed for this line.

    Display and Imaging Flair

As with prior Nothing devices, the CMF Phone 3 Pro is anticipated to come with a flat 120 Hz OLED panel, paired with stereo speakers and a 16 MP selfie camera. On the rear, the camera setup is unusually ambitious for its class: a 50 MP telephoto lens, a 50 MP main sensor, and an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle shooter. Yet, there is conflicting chatter about build materials, with one source claiming a plastic frame rather than a metal one, which would deviate from some expectations for a premium mid-range device.

    Uncertain Details Ahead

Alongside the core specs, leaker chatter suggests an even more approachable Nothing Phone could arrive before the CMF Phone 3 Pro, but the specifics remain under wraps. The overall narrative hints at a strategy of staggered releases, balancing more accessible options with the higher-end mid-range model. Until official confirmation lands, readers should temper expectations about exact configurations and pricing.

Galaxy Z Fold 8 Battery Upgrade Rumored, Galaxy Wide Fold Coming Soon

    Key Takeaways

    1. Samsung is cautious about battery capacity but may use silicon carbon in future models.
    2. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is expected to launch in July with a 5,000 mAh battery.
    3. The Galaxy Z Fold 8’s battery capacity is a 13% increase from the previous model, the Z Fold 7.
    4. Samsung’s Fold series still lags behind competitors in battery capacity.
    5. The Galaxy Z Fold 8 may feature improved charging capabilities beyond the current 25W wired charging.

When discussing battery capacity in smartphones, Samsung has been quite cautious for a long time. However, they are likely to start utilizing silicon carbon in a future model. Despite this, the Galaxy Z Fold series will continue to use the conventional Li-Po batteries. Although this is somewhat disappointing, it’s been reported that the company has succeeded in boosting the battery capacity by almost 13 percent.

    Expected Launch and Battery Details

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is anticipated to be unveiled in July, coinciding with the Galaxy Z Flip 8. It’s important to note that the Flip model may not see a battery upgrade this year, whereas the foldable model is expected to feature a 5,000 mAh battery. This information comes from GalaxyClub, which indicates that one of its batteries is rated at 2,369 mAh and the other at 2,485 mAh. The combined total battery capacity is approximately 4,854 mAh, which Samsung will market as 5,000 mAh.

    Comparison with Previous Models

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 (available on Amazon) is equipped with a 4,400 mAh battery, identical to its previous version. Even with the new 5,000 mAh battery, Samsung will still lag behind other foldable competitors like Oppo, Motorola, and Huawei, as well as its own Galaxy Z TriFold.

Moreover, the report mentions that another battery rated at 2,393 mAh has been tested, which could potentially be for a more affordable model called the Galaxy Wide Fold. This device is also expected to launch alongside the new foldable phones. If the battery rating is correct, this model could have a total capacity of about 4,900 mAh, making it slightly smaller than the Galaxy Z Fold 8 but still bigger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7.

    Charging Capabilities

Regarding charging speeds, Samsung has only provided 25W wired charging for its Fold series thus far. However, considering that the Galaxy Z TriFold supports 45W wired fast charging, there’s a possibility that the Galaxy Z Fold 8 will also come with improved charging capabilities.

The Xiaomi UltraThin Magnetic Power Bank has been unveiled with a significantly thinner profile compared to last year’s Super Slim Magnetic Power Bank 5000 (102 x 69.6 x 8.7 mm). This new model is just 6 mm (0.2 inch) thick, making it slightly thicker than the iPhone Air’s 5.6 mm, and positioning it as one of the most slender magnetic power banks on the market today.

    Charging Features

This power bank attaches magnetically to the back of compatible smartphones for wireless charging. It offers up to 15W of wireless charging for Xiaomi 17 devices, while iPhones are limited to a slower 7.5W. • Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Global Launch with Reduced Battery Capacity

Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 Global Launch with Reduced Battery Capacity

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 launched on August 21, but global release details are still unclear.
    2. Early firmware suggests the global version may have a smaller battery than the Chinese version.
    3. The basic Redmi Note 15 features a 5,800 mAh battery with 45 W wired charging, but the global version may have 5,520 mAh.
    4. The global model will likely maintain a 108 MP main camera and additional sensors for ultra-wide and macro photography.
    5. The global Redmi Note 15 is expected to retain much of the hardware from the Chinese version, despite potential battery changes.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 15 has been available for a month, having launched on August 21 together with the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Redmi Note 15 Pro Plus. Although these models can be obtained from importers, Xiaomi has not yet indicated when it might release any of the Redmi Note 15 series for the global market.

    Possible Insights from Firmware

Interestingly, the early firmware for the Redmi Note 15 seems to hint at what the global version might look like. Similar to the Xiaomi 17, it is believed that the global Redmi Note 15 will come with a smaller battery compared to the one currently offered in China.

    Battery and Charging Specifications

To give you some perspective, the basic Redmi Note 15 uses silicon battery technology which allows it to have a peak capacity of 5,800 mAh, along with 45 W wired charging. While this charging feature is expected to remain the same, a user known as PaperKing13 has provided some proof indicating that the global version of the Redmi Note 15 could see its battery capacity reduced to 5,520 mAh.

    Camera Features

Even so, this would still be an improvement over the Redmi Note 14 5G, which currently retails for $248.99 on Amazon and has a 5,110 mAh battery. Moreover, the device will retain a 108 MP main camera that features the Samsung S5KHM9, alongside 8 MP and 2 MP sensors on the rear, likely serving as ultra-wide-angle and macro cameras, respectively. Essentially, it appears that the global edition of the Redmi Note 15 will maintain a lot of the hardware from its Chinese counterpart.
