A downside is that one of the phone’s standout features may not be available in the global version. Reports suggest that the international model of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will have its battery capacity limited to 6,000 mAh, which is about a 12% reduction compared to the model sold in China.

    This battery size is the same as what is found in the Chinese variant of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Additionally, early tests show that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will support 90 W wired charging, whether you choose the global version or go for a Chinese import.

    Competition and Release Timeline

    Looking ahead, the Find X9 Ultra, Galaxy S26 Ultra, and Vivo X300 Ultra are all expected to launch in the upcoming weeks, from late February to early April. Moreover, the device will retain a 108 MP main camera that features the Samsung S5KHM9, alongside 8 MP and 2 MP sensors on the rear, likely serving as ultra-wide-angle and macro cameras, respectively. Essentially, it appears that the global edition of the Redmi Note 15 will maintain a lot of the hardware from its Chinese counterpart.
