Cinematographer Claudio Miranda collaborates with Realme for 12 Pro series

Realme has announced a new collaboration for their upcoming 12 Pro Series, this time with renowned cinematographer Claudio Miranda. The details of the partnership have not been disclosed, but Realme has stated that Miranda will contribute to the image tuning of the 12 Pro series.

Miranda, a Chilean cinematographer, is known for his work on films like Oblivion, Tron: Legacy, and Top Gun: Maverick. He has even received an Academy Award for his cinematography. With his expertise, it will be interesting to see how Miranda's involvement will enhance the camera capabilities of the 12 Pro series.

One of the standout features of the 12 Pro series will be its 120x zoom ability. Realme Europe CEO Francis Wong has been teasing this feature, aiming to surpass the 100x zoom of Samsung's flagship S-series. Although the zoom is digital, the extent of its capabilities is yet to be revealed. Wong has also hinted at a "Moon Mode 2.0" feature for the smartphones, which will likely enhance the camera's performance in low-light situations.

Moving on to the specifications of the Realme 12 Pro series, both the 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ are expected to feature a Sony IMX890 sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. The 12 Pro+ will additionally offer a 3x optical zoom with a periscope lens, while the 12 Pro will have a 2x optical zoom telephoto camera. For selfies, the Pro model is expected to come with a 16MP camera, while the Pro Plus model will have a 32MP sensor.

In terms of performance, the Realme 12 Pro is likely to be powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip, while the 12 Pro+ is expected to run on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Both devices will feature a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support.

Furthermore, the Realme 12 Pro duo is rumored to sport a 6.7-inch curved-edge AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Both devices are expected to run on Realme UI 5-based Android 14 and include an in-screen fingerprint sensor for added security.

Overall, the collaboration with Claudio Miranda and the inclusion of impressive camera capabilities make the Realme 12 Pro series an exciting prospect for smartphone enthusiasts. With its powerful specifications and innovative features, the 12 Pro series is set to make a mark in the market.
