Realme 12+ 5G Emerges on MIIT with Images, Resembling Realme 12 Pro Series

Realme 12+ 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G are nearing their launch, as they have successfully passed multiple public certifications and benchmark apps. The Realme 12+ 5G (RMX3866) has even obtained China’s MIIT certification, complete with photos. Interestingly, the global model code for the Realme 12+ 5G, RMX3867, differs slightly from the Chinese variant’s model code, RMX3866. However, we can expect the Realme 12+ 5G to make its debut alongside the global launch of the Realme 12 Pro Series on January 29.

Design Details Unveiled

The MIIT listing with photos provides a glimpse of the upcoming smartphone’s design. The Realme 12+ 5G appears to sport a quad-rear camera setup with an LED flash, resembling the camera module design seen on the Realme 11. A vertical line in a metallic color divides the rear side into two equal portions. The Realme branding is visible at the bottom rear of the smartphone. Additionally, there are volume rockers and a power button located on the right side of the device.

Similar Design to Realme 12 Pro Series

The design of the Realme 12+ 5G closely resembles that of the upcoming Realme 12 Pro series.

Expected Specifications of Realme 12+ 5G

The Realme 12+ 5G has already obtained certifications from Thailand’s NBTC, Malaysia’s SIRIM, TKDN, SDPPI, TDRA, TUV Rheinland, and FCC. While the full specifications are yet to be revealed, it is expected that the device will feature a 16-megapixel front camera and a rear camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel auxiliary lens. The smartphone is likely to be equipped with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. It may run on Realme UI 5, based on Android 14, and offer NFC connectivity. Further details about the device will be unveiled in due course.

Realme 12 Pro+ Details

On the other hand, the Realme 12 Pro+ was recently spotted on Geekbench with a Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset and 12GB of RAM. Speculations suggest that the Pro model may feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset. Both devices are expected to come with a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display and a 5,000mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging. The Realme 12 Pro will boast a 16-megapixel front camera and a triple camera setup on the back. In contrast, the 12 Pro+ is rumored to feature a 32-megapixel selfie camera and a more advanced triple camera setup on the rear.

As the launch date approaches, more information about the Realme 12+ 5G and Realme 12 Pro+ 5G will likely be unveiled, giving us a clearer picture of what these smartphones have to offer.
