Newly Launched Bull GaN Charger Features China’s UFCS Charging Standard Support

Accessory maker Bull has introduced a new charger in China that supports the UFCS charging standard. The charger, model number GNV-A1652U, is an upgraded version of the existing GNV-A1652U. Let’s take a closer look at its features.

UFCS Charging Standard Support

The Bull charger stands out for its support of China’s homegrown UFCS charging standard. UFCS, which stands for Universal Fast Charging Standard, was announced in September 2022, with the Oppo Reno 9 All Things Red being the first smartphone to support this protocol. However, a year later, there are still only a few chargers and phones that support this standard.

Powerful and Versatile

The Bull power adapter is capable of delivering up to 65W of power and features two output ports: USB Type-C and USB Type-A. The Type-A port has a maximum output of 18W, while the Type-C’s output drops to 45W when both ports are in use.

In addition to UFCS, the charger also supports other leading protocols such as USB PD (Power Delivery), Qualcomm QC (Quick Charge), Samsung AFC (Adaptive Fast Charging), Huawei FCP (HiSilicon Fast Charging Protocol), and Apple2.4. This makes it compatible with a wide range of devices.

Price and Availability

The Bull charger is available in a single gray color option and has an introductory price of ¥118 (~$16). However, it is unlikely that this charger will be released in global markets, so interested consumers will need to import it.
