Motorola is preparing to introduce a new smartphone in India known as the Motorola Edge 40 Pro. The company initiated hints about this smartphone last month and has now officially announced that it will be launched on April 3 in India.

The Motorola Edge 50 Pro will be powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor, which made its debut in November 2023. This processor includes a Kryo 715 Prime core clocked at 2.63 GHz, along with three Kryo 715 Gold cores and four Kyro 510 Silver cores running at 1.8GHz. Additionally, the processor integrates Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 for Wi-Fi 6/6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity.

Featuring a 6.7″ pOLED curved display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro will offer Pantone-validated colors for a wide color gamut and accurate color reproduction, including lifelike skin tones. The phone will introduce Generative AI-powered theming with wallpapers across 15 genres designed by popular artists.

The smartphone will sport a 50MP autofocus selfie camera and a f/1.4 aperture rear camera, claimed to be the widest in its segment.
