A few months ago, Qualcomm introduced its newest Snapdragon 4 series chipset. As we mentioned earlier, the company added the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 to its lineup this summer, even though the more powerful Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 had already appeared on benchmarking sites around the same time.
Latest Updates on Snapdragon 4s Gen 2
Since the launch of Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 at the end of July, there hasn't been much news about it. However, SmartPrix reports that this is set to change later this month with the unveiling of a new Xiaomi smartphone. Although the site hasn’t provided any proof to support this information, it has shared a slide that looks official, indicating when and where the phone will be announced.
Upcoming Launch at IMC
The first smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 is expected to debut at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) on October 16. Thus, it’s likely that this device will initially be exclusive to the Indian market. Current predictions suggest that Xiaomi might use the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 to enhance its Redmi 13 series. Sadly, details about the device itself are still unclear, aside from the chipset capabilities we've discussed in our earlier article about the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 launch.
