OnePlus Ace 3: A Lower-Tier Flagship Model by OnePlus
Following a series of leaks, OnePlus has officially introduced the OnePlus Ace 3, a lower-tier flagship model, in the Chinese market. Competing with devices like the Realme GT 5, the Redmi K70, the iQOO Neo 9, and the Honor 90 GT in China, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip. Here's a detailed overview of its specifications, features, and pricing.
Design and Screen
In terms of design, the OnePlus Ace 3 follows the design language seen in recent OnePlus flagship and Ace-branded phones, including the Ace 2 and Ace 2 Pro. Sporting a curved-edge OLED display with a centered punch-hole on the front, the back features a circular camera setup housing a triple camera system. The dimensions measure 163.30 x 75.27 x 8.8mm, weighing 207 grams. The device is available in color options like Star Black, Moon Sea Blue, and Sand Gold.
The 6.7-inch BOE-supplied OLED ProXDR panel on the Ace 3 offers a 1.5K resolution, a rapid 120Hz refresh rate, and 10-bit color output. Moreover, it boasts a peak brightness of 4,500 nits comparable to the OnePlus 12's display, providing an optimized gaming experience.
Hardware and Camera
Featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, the OnePlus Ace 3 matches the performance of last year's OnePlus 11. Notably, it comes with a substantial 5,500mAh battery, the first SD8G2-powered phone to do so. The device supports 100W wired charging but lacks wireless charging capabilities.
The Ace 3 offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM along with storage options up to 1TB. Running on ColorOS 14-based Android 14, it includes features like dual SIM support, 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, NFC, dual stereo speakers, an x-axis linear motor, and an alert slider.
On the front, the OnePlus Ace 3 sports a 16-megapixel selfie camera. At the back, it houses a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS, accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro lens and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide shooter.
Pricing and Availability
The OnePlus Ace 3 is available in China in three configurations:
