The Tecno Camon 30 series of smartphones has been officially unveiled, introducing a range of devices that cater to various user preferences. The lineup comprises the Camon 30 and Camon 30 5G, powered by the Helio G99 and Dimensity 7020 chipsets, respectively. Additionally, the series features the Camon 30 Pro 5G and Camon 30 Premier 5G, equipped with the more robust Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset. All these models were recently showcased at MWC 2024.

Tecno Camon 30 Premier 5G
Both the Camon 30 Premier 5G and Camon 30 Pro 5G boast a sizable 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. While the Pro model lacks LTPO support, the Premier variant includes it. The Premier model offers a 1.5K resolution of 1264 x 2780 pixels, whereas the Pro edition presents a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2436 pixels.
These smartphones are powered by the Dimensity 8200 Ultra chipset. The Camon 30 Pro 5G comes with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, while the Premier edition offers 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of native storage, with an additional option for up to 12 GB of virtual RAM.
Both the Camon 30 Premier and Camon 30 Pro 5G are supported by a 5,000mAh battery with 70W fast charging capabilities. Running on Android 14 with HiOS 14 skin on top, they also feature an IR blaster, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, and dual stereo speakers enhanced with Dolby Atmos support.
In terms of optics, both models sport a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus and dual LED flash. The key differences lie in their rear camera setups. While both phones house a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 primary camera with OIS and a 50-megapixel ultrawide lens, the Pro variant includes a 2-megapixel depth sensor as the third camera on the back. In contrast, the Premier edition offers a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with a 70mm focal length and up to 60x hybrid zoom support. Moreover, the Premier model showcases Tecno’s PolarAce Imaging System, an advanced ISP that enhances features such as AI noise reduction for HDR videos, 4K Ultra Night Vision videos, and accurate skin tone rendering.
