GMK Unveils Mini PC with OCuLink & AMD APU

      Key Takeaway

      – EVO-X3 is a refresh of the EVO-X2, powered by the same Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, with AI Max+ 495 variant (supporting up to 192GB unified memory) coming later in 2026.
      – New OCuLink port added for expanded connectivity, a key upgrade missing on EVO-X2.

      – Design is slimmer but taller, likely with a new cooling setup.
      – Launches June 22, 2026 in China, with WiFi 7 and USB4 ports included.

New Mini PC from GMKtec Announced

The EVO-X3 has been formally announced by GMKtec, it’s more of a slight refresh than a proper successor to there previous model. The company confirmed in an announcement that the EVO-X3 will be powered by the same Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU, but at Computex 2026, GMK shared that the system will be available with the AI Max+ 495 later in 2026. The latter would bring one notable upgrade, up to 192GB unified memory support.

      Memory and Connectivity Upgrades

For referance, the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 maxes out at 128GB. Another notable upgrade that will be available on the EVO-X3 from the beginning is the OCuLink port, which was missing on the EVO-X2 and this will broaden the expandability options. The new mini PC retains the two M.2 slots, each of which can hold up to an 8TB SSD, making the total system storage support stand at 16TB.

      Design Changes and Performance Features

At Computex 2026, GMK has also revealed that the EVO-X3 will sport WiFi 7, and there will be USB4 ports. There’s a noteworthy change in the design, compared to the EVO-X2, which did relatively well in our review, the EVO-X3 is slimmer but taller. Given the form factor change, there should be a different cooling setup inside the mini PC.

      Launch Date and Availability Details

Other details about GMKtec EVO-X3 are under wraps, but in the announcement, GMK shared that the EVO-X3 will launch on June 22, 2026, in China. Global launch should be around the horizon as well. GMK on Weibo

      – Features AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS (performance comparable to newer Ryzen AI 7 445) and Radeon 680M iGPU.
      – Includes OCuLink port for external GPU upgrades, boosting GPU-intensive tasks.
      – Lacks NPU, so cannot run local AI features like Co-Pilot+.
      – Higher power consumption due to inefficient APU, and only one USB-C port (USB4).

Amazon’s First Prime Day 2026 Starts With a Bang

Amazon are about to hold its first Prime Day sale of 2026, set to start on June 23, 2026. While this event is still a few days away, a handful of products have already been discounted early, and the discount placed on the GMKtec K16 mini PC is absolutly among the highlights of this early deal wave, offering big savings.

Huge Price Drop on the GMKtec K16 Mini PC

This AMD mini PC with 32GB of RAM and a 1TB NVMe SSD is enjoying a massive 36% price cut, making it drop from $999.99 to $639.98 total. Per a third-party price tracker called Camelcamelcamel, this here is the all-time low price for this specific model, and Amazon’s own built-in price tracker suggests exactly the same thing without any exeptions.

      • Original Price: $999.99
      • Current Discounted Price: $639.98
      • Discount: 36% off
      • RAM: 32GB
      • Storage: 1TB NVMe SSD

      Performance and Processor Details

Released back in January 2026, the GMKtec K16 mini PC features the AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS, which is a relatively dated processor from the AMD Rembrandt lineup of chips. However, according to our own benchmarks, it’s actually on the same exact league as the newly released Ryzen AI 7 445, a lower-end option from the Gorgon Point series, despite being older.

It also features the Radeon 680M graphics, a relatively capable RDNA 2 iGPU that can handle most games when you set visual settings to low, resolution at 720p, and scaling enabled for better frames. One good part about this mini PC is that it has an OCuLink port, allowing users to pair a performance-focused external GPU for much better performance on GPU-intensive tasks like video rendering or heavy gaming workloads.

What Are the Downsides and Ports?

As we highlighted in our detailed review, the lack of any NPU can be a big downside for some users who need AI acceleration. This means that the GMKtec K16 simply won’t be capable of running many local AI features like the ones available on Copilot+ PCs from other manufacturers in 2026, which is a bit of a letdown.

The power consumption of this mini PC is comparatively high as well, which stems from the relatively inefficient AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS APU inside it. Moreover, the port configuration of the GMK K16 only has one single USB-C port, but thankfully, it’s a USB4 port that offers high speed. You can learn more about the system from our in-depth review on the website if needed.

Geekom A6 Mini PC Gets a Hefty Price Cut

The brand Geekom has become almost a household name in the mini PC space, and the A6, one of the brand’s popular models, it has been discounted by 20% on Amazon and Geekom’s own online shop. From June 9 to June 21, the Geekom A6 —with 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage — will cost $479 for Amazon Prime members or $519 for regular buyers. Meanwhile, there is a 512 GB storage version available for a discounted price of $479 on the Geekom store, and the 1 TB version will cost the same $519.

      How to Claim This Discount

Buyers looking to take advantage of the deal will need to use the code NCGKA620 to get the discount, and Geekom guarantees that the deal will be lower than the upcoming June Amazon Prime pricing for the same mini PC. Chassis, Cooling, and Connectivity

The A6 boasts an aluminium chassis that measures in at just 11.2 cm × 11.2 cm and 3 cm thick, but despite the small form factor, Geekom has not compromised on ports or performance. The case also has support for an optional 100 × 100 mm Vesa mount for mounting the mini PC to the back of a monitor for a cleaner desktop setup. The internal cooling system is capable of cooling the 8-core, 16-thread Ryzen 7 6800H’s full 45 W.

The front I/O consists of 2× USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack, while the rear features an HDMI 2.0 port, a 2.5 Gb RJ45 port, a USB 2.0 Type-A port, a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, a full-speed USB4 Type-C port, and a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C port, in addition to the DC power in. The left side of the mini PC also houses a full-size SD card slot for media transfer from devices like cameras. Between the HDMI and USB-C ports, the Geekom A6 can drive up to four 4K displays at the same time for optimum productivity.

      Key Takeaway

      – HP’s unnamed RTX Spark mini PC features a bold, prototype-level design with unlabeled ports.
      – It includes two proprietary Nvidia ConnectX-7 data-center-grade ports, which may not appear in the final retail version.
      – HP is one of several OEMs that have not published press releases or announced pricing/availability for their RTX Spark mini PCs.
      – The overall marketing and rollout of Nvidia’s RTX Spark mini PCs at Computex 2026 has been lackluster, despite their potential to compete with Apple’s Mac Mini and Mac Studio.

First Look at HP’s Mysterious New Mini PC

While the new HP OmniDesk Mini Desktop PC was unveiled as the world’s first “Mini AI PC” to feature Thunderbolt Share, the company’s first RTX Spark-powered mini PC somehow went unnder the radar in the first few days of Computex 2026. However, the wait is now over, as we can reveal hands-on images of HP’s RTX Spark mini PC, which might just have the boldest design of all new Nvidia RTX Spark-powered mini PCs announced at Computex (from Asus, Dell, MSI, and Lenovo).

The Name is Still a Mystery

What’s interesting is that HP hasn’t decided on a name yet. As bizarre as it sounds, none of the reports from Computex 2026 mention a name for the mini PC, while HP’s press release for the new OmniBook Ultra 16 and OmniBook X 14 explicitly says the mini PC is indeed on the way but doesn’t share a name for it. On top of that, none of the ports on the PC are labeled, which signals we might be looking at a prototype of the final design.

      Unique Ports and Connectivity

Speaking of ports, the I/O layout of HP’s RTX Spark mini PC is similar to other RTX Spark mini PCs but, at the same time, it stands out due to the inclusion of two proprietary Nvidia ConnectX-7 ports. Whether the data-center-grade ports will remain on the final retail version of the PC or they are exclusive to the units showcased at Computex remains to be seen. Perhaps HP is planning to launch two completely different RTX Spark mini PCs (and this has something to do with the whole naming mystery).

The I/O on HP’s RTX Spark mini PC is as follows:

      • 2x Nvidia ConnectX-7 ports
      • Standard USB Type-A and Type-C ports
      • HDMI and DisplayPort outputs
      • Ethernet jack
      • Audio jack

      Pricing and Availability Still Undisclosed

As the story with all new Nvidia Spark RTX laptops and mini PCs goes, HP is yet to announce pricing and availability for its nameless RTX Spark mini PC. Strangely enough, while the naming mystery stands out, HP is one of several OEMs refusing to publish press releases on their new RTX Spark mini PCs, even though they were officially revealed at Computex 2026.

All in all, the hardware marketing around Nvidia’s new chips seems to be rather lackluster following Computex 2026. That’s somewhat bizarre considering these new mini PCs (and laptops) are supposed to be game-changing for the prosumer Windows market and even rival Apple’s super-popular Mac Mini and Mac Studio.
