    GMKtec Confirms Global Launch Date for EVO-X3 Mini PC

    The GMKtec EVO-X3 was teased in China not so long ago, and now the company has officaly confirmed that the mini PC will be introduced to the global market. Specifically, the launch is set for June 29, 2026, and those who are interested can sighn up for an “early access registration” starting on June 22, 2026. This registration will unlock a $20 discount on the purchase.

    Pricing and Core Specifications Revealed

    The company did not share the retail price of the mini PC yet, but it has confirmed many of the core specs. At launch, the GMK EVO-X3 will be availible with the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, but they plan to add a Ryzen AI Max+ 495 configuration later on in 2026. For reference, the GMKtec EVO-X2 is also powered by the Ryzen AI Max+ 395, so the EVO-X3 would stand as a slight refresh at launch.

    Key Connectivity and Performance Details

    Of course, it brings one OCuLink Gen 4 port, which is missing on the EVO-X2, but it’s worth noting that the Radeon 8060S iGPU of the mini PC can deliver RTX 4070 Laptop-level performance. So, an eGPU might not be necessary for most people. Even so, it’s still good to see the OCuLink port, as it will enable easy PCIe expansion. The EVO-X3 also has a 40Gbps USB4 port, but it would’ve been better to see a USB4 v2 port as well.

    Display Output, Cooling, and Other Highlights

    There’s support for dual-display output through the USB4 and HDMI 2.1 ports, and GMKtec highlights that the triple-fan setup of the mini PC will enable the AMD APU inside to deliver up to 140W of peak performance. Other highlights include WiFi 7, a sleek chassis, and support for up to 128GB of RAM and 16TB of PCIe 4.0 storage (2TB Samsung 990 Pro curr. $369.99).

      New Mini-PC From Peladn

      Earlier this year, we reviewed the Peladn HO5 mini-PC powered by AMD’s Strix Point platform (curr. $999 on Amazon). In the months befor that, Peladn released the WO-4 with a slower AMD Ryzen APU. Additonally, the company launched the Link S-3 eGPU dock with Thunderbolt 5 connectivity.

      Availibility and Power

      Now, it has returned with a new mini-PC called the YO2. For the time being, the Peladn YO2 is only available in China. However, the company tends to offer its mini-PCs globally at some stage. Wheather that will occur with the YO2 remains unconfirmed for now. Unofficially, the mini-PC can be picked up on AliExpress for over $3,200.

      Setting that aside, the YO2 is far more powerful than the HO5 we reviewed in February, thanks to its Ryzen AI Max+ 395 APU. While this Strix Halo processor is found in many other high-end mini-PCs, Peladn claims that the YO2 can push the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 to 160 W in performance mode.

      Design and Specifications

      To that end, the company has included a triple-fan setup and three heatpipes, which contribute to the YO2’s 1.85 kg overall weight. Moreover, the mini-PC measures 246 x 193 x 92 mm and contains three M.2 2280 slots, as well as multiple ports. Pricing starts at CNY 21,999 (~$3,249) in China with 2 TB of storage and 128 GB of LPDDR5X RAM running at 8,000 MT/s, 96 GB of which should be assignable as VRAM to its Radeon 8060S iGPU.

      The mini PC is now more affordable, thanks to the new 64GB RAM option that Minisforum has just introduced. This configuration keeps the storage the same, meaning both MS-S1 Max configurations feature a 2TB SSD. The launch price is $2,639, and to compare, the 128GB variant generally costs $3,199.

      Specs align with the higher RAM model

      Other specs of the 64GB MS-S1 Max are also the same as the 128GB variant. Of course, the lower amount of RAM means that it will not be possible to assign 96GB of VRAM to the capable Radeon 8060S iGPU. But then again, there’s a full-length PCIe 4.0 x16 slot available, allowing users to install a dGPU if needed.

      Port selection and build quality shine

      As we noted in our review, the port selection is another highlight of the Minisforum MS-S1 Max. Among all, the two 80Gbps USB4 v2 (4-feet USB4 v2 Silkland cable curr. $24.99 on Amazon) and two 10GbE LAN ports are the highlights. We also liked the build quality of the chassis and praised how easy it is to get into the mini PC.

      Cooling and expansion notes

      However, while Minisforum boasts about the internal cooling setup, we found the MS-S1 Max to get a bit too loud in idle mode. It’s nice that the PCIe x16 slot is available on the mini PC, but it’s limited to x4 speed, and we noted that there’s not enough ventilation available around this slot. In contrast, the 128 GB RAM versions can reserve 96 GB of VRAM while still keeping 32 GB of RAM available. It’s no surprise that these configurations are pricey. For example, the version with 64 GB of RAM costs $2,799 with a 1 TB SSD, while the model with 128 GB RAM is priced at $2,999.

      Marketed as the first all-in-one PC that uses AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 395, the AideaONE R27 sports a 27-inch IPS screen instead of the OLED version featured in the Sixunited AXA33. Setting aside the differences in the display technology, the AideaONE R27 offers 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) at a refresh rate of 60 Hz. Seaviv claims this screen is housed in a chassis that is just 15 mm thick at its slimmest part, secured to an anodized aluminum back with a fixed stand that allows for tilt adjustments ranging from -5° to +21°.

      In addition, Seaviv has paired the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 and Radeon 8060S iGPU with a generous 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD (M.2 2280). The likely candidates are the Ryzen AI Max+ 392 and Ryzen AI Max+ 395, but they would offer similar GPU performance due to the use of the same Radeon 8060S integrated GPUs.

      The Legion 7 15 ASH11 is also a Gen 11 version and will have a 15-inch display, unlike the 16-inch models showcased at CES 2026. For comparison, the Legion 7a Gen 11 integrates the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 laptop GPU. In theory, a Ryzen AI Max+ 395 could provide the Legion 7 15 ASH11 with a notable CPU edge over the Legion 7a Gen 11, while maintaining equal GPU performance and operating at a lower power consumption. Sadly, Lenovo has not revealed when it plans to officially release its Legion 7 alternative.

      At the top of the list is the Magnus EAMAX395C, which features the Ryzen AI MAX+ 395 and includes a whopping 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory. This model boasts 16 cores and 32 threads, delivering up to 126 TOPS of AI performance, along with the integrated Radeon RX 8060S GPU. This setup should provide enough power for smooth 1080p gaming and demanding AI tasks. Based on our testing of the Radeon RX 8060S iGPU in the Asus ROG Flow Z13, its performance is quite comparable to that of the GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU, meaning users should have no issues playing most games at 1080p. Other models in the lineup include the EAMAX390C featuring the Ryzen AI MAX 390 and the EAMAX385C with the Ryzen AI MAX 385.

      Compact Design Features

      The Magnus EAMAX mini PCs maintain the same small 2.65-liter chassis as the Magnus EN. The dimensions are 210 × 203 × 62.2 mm and it comes equipped with three M.2 slots (PCIe 4.0×4), dual 2.5 GbE Ethernet ports, and supports Wi-Fi 7. For connectivity options, all models offer one USB4 40 Gbps port, five USB-A 3.2 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4 outputs, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a headphone/microphone combo jack.

      Zotac plans to provide the Magnus EAMAX series either as a barebones kit or as a fully assembled system with a 1 TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 preinstalled. However, pricing and availability have yet to be disclosed.
