Sapphire Technology has introduced the NITRO+ B650I WIFI super platinum motherboard priced at 1,689 Yuan (~$233), succeeding the NITRO+ B550I launched last year. Let's delve into the features of this new offering.
Key Features of NITRO+ B650I WIFI:
The NITRO+ B650I WIFI showcases an 8-layer PCB, an 8-phase digital power supply layout, and highlights the Infineon XDPE 192C3B PWM solution along with the Power Stage 70A Dr.MOS. It is built on the AMD AM5 platform, providing compatibility with AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors.
Memory and Storage:
This motherboard accommodates 2 x DDR5 6000 MHz memory modules (up to 96GB capacity) with overclocking support. In contrast, its predecessor, the Sapphire NITRO+ B550I, supported DDR4 memory up to 4600 MHz. For storage, it offers 2 Gen4 x 4 M.2 slots and 4 SATA 3 interfaces, along with Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth, and a front USB 3.2 Gen 1 port.
Cooling and Connectivity:
To manage heat dissipation effectively, the power supply MOS and M.2 slot are shielded with armored heat dissipation technology. The motherboard includes two 4-pin interfaces each for the CPU fan and system fan, and for RGB lighting, it provides a 12V 4-pin and an additional 5V 3-pin interface, controllable through the Sapphire TriXX software.
Sapphire has announced on the WeChat platform (as reported by ITHome) its intention to implement changes in non-graphics card product lines this year. In terms of connectivity, the NITRO+ B650I WIFI offers a range of ports including HDMI, DP, USB 2.0, USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces (10Gbps), Type-C USB 3.2 Gen2 interface (20Gbps), CLEAR CMOS button, LAN RJ45, USB 3.2 Gen2 interfaces (5Gbps), WIFI antenna, and 7.1 channel audio interfaces.
