Redmi Reveals Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Phone: Note 13 Turbo Expected

Now that Qualcomm has unveiled its latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, Redmi has disclosed its intentions to unveil a new smartphone featuring this cutting-edge processor.

Redmi's New Smartphone Plans

The exact model remains undisclosed by the company thus far, with speculation leaning towards the potential release of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo. However, concrete details about the smartphone are currently in short supply.

The Snapdragon Chipset Speculation

Earlier this year, Redmi launched the Note 12 Turbo smartphone in China, powered by the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. Initial assumptions hinted that the Note 13 Turbo would continue this trend with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip. However, a recent leak has indicated a shift, suggesting that the Redmi Note 13 Turbo will actually debut with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Aligning with this leak, Redmi's announcement seems to confirm that the Note 13 Turbo will indeed feature the new Snapdragon 8-series chip.

Global Launch Strategy

Previously, a rebranded variant of the Redmi Note 12 Turbo, known as the Poco F5, was unveiled for the global market in May 2023. Reports now suggest that the upcoming Redmi Note 13 Turbo will maintain its exclusivity to China, while a global launch is anticipated under the Poco F6 branding.

Additionally, Xiaomi has revealed plans for the Civi 4 Pro smartphone to also integrate the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip. Although the Civi 4 Pro is scheduled for launch on March 21, it remains uncertain whether the new Redmi phone will share the same debut date.

As developments unfold, we will continue to provide timely updates on this evolving situation.
