Realme, an established Chinese smartphone maker, announced the P-series exclusively designed to appeal to Indian markets on Flipkart e-commerce platform. Realme's Vice President Chase Xu announced its debut through social networking site X (previously known as Twitter). Chase noted Realme's mission of "democratizing technology by providing superior experiences in mid-range smartphone markets".
Realme P-Series Bring Power And Affordability Together
Realme's P-series of smartphones aims to deliver premium features at reasonable prices while catering specifically to young consumers, according to ET Telecom reports. Positioned above budget-centric C-series offerings, Realme aims for 50 million P-series sales this year alone.
"Realme India targets tech-savvy individuals looking for products with cutting-edge features at prices they can afford," stated Tarini P Das, Director of Sales and Business Development of Realme India to ET Telecom.
Innovative Collaborations And Attractive Designs
Realme has confirmed its latest P-series phones will feature visually appealing smartphones designed by P.S. Rathor - this suggests visually attractive yet stylish smartphones in this new line-up of Realme P-series phones. While more details regarding hardware and software specifications of Realme's P-series remain undisclosed, Realme is said to have joined forces with one of India's premier visual artists P.S. Rathor as its co-designer; suggesting visually pleasing yet stylish smartphones from this series.
Realme's bold initiative comes amid fierce competition in India's smartphone market. Although their P-series remains their flagship offering for 2024, Realme also plans on reinvigorating their GT series for enhanced performance as previously noted by Chase Xu and will still offer their number series and C series handsets in India.
Realme has announced plans to manufacture its P-series smartphones exclusively in India using Oppo's Noida plant and partnerships with multiple original equipment Manufacturers (OEM).
