Several smartphone manufacturers are preparing to introduce new devices powered by the upcoming Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor. Digital Chat Station did not disclose additional details about the iQOO Z9 Turbo in this leak. However, based on previous Weibo posts by the same source, it is expected that this device will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Initially rumored as part of the iQOO Neo 9 series, it now seems that this device will be released under the Z9 series.
Specifications and Features
According to earlier leaks, the iQOO Z9 Turbo could sport a 6.78-inch flat OLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It might also support 2160Hz PWM dimming and include an in-screen fingerprint scanner for security. Operating on OriginOS 4-based Android 14, the device is likely to offer top-tier performance.
The highest configuration of the iQOO Z9 Turbo is expected to include 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of FUS 4.0 storage. Although details about the battery capacity remain undisclosed, the device is anticipated to support 120W fast charging. Additionally, the Z9 Turbo may feature a plastic frame design and house a 50-megapixel dual-camera setup.
Launch and Variants
Speculations suggest that the iQOO Z9 and iQOO Z9x models will debut in China in April. While the Indian version of the Z9 might be powered by the Dimensity 7200 chipset, the Chinese variant could come with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor. On the other hand, the Z9x is expected to feature the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 SoC. The release of the Z9 Turbo alongside the Z9 and Z9x models is yet to be confirmed.
