iQOO Z9 Turbo: CMIIT Certified, Key Specs Ahead of April Launch

iQOO is currently developing a trio of smartphones, namely the iQOO Z9, iQOO Z9x, and iQOO Z9 Turbo, intended for the Chinese market. Recent information suggests that these models will be powered by different Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets: the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, and Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 (tentative name) respectively. A device labeled as V2352A has been spotted on China's MIIT certification platform, hinting at an upcoming release under the name iQOO Z9 Turbo.

iQOO Z9 Turbo Specifications (Rumored)

The iQOO V2352A, certified by CMIIT, is anticipated to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. Leaked details from Digital Chat Station (DCS) indicate that the Z9 Turbo will sport a flat display with a 1.5K resolution. Additionally, the device is rumored to house a large 6,000mAh battery along with a short-focus in-display fingerprint sensor.

Further reports suggest that the iQOO Z9 Turbo will boast a 6.78-inch OLED screen featuring a 144Hz refresh rate and 2160Hz PWM dimming. Expectations include 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage capacity.

Advanced Features and Availability

The Z9 Turbo is projected to support rapid 80W charging and may sport a dual-camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary lens. It is anticipated to ship with OriginOS 4.0 on top of Android 14. Market speculations hint at an April launch for the Z9 Turbo in China.

Reports also suggest that iQOO is developing a Neo series phone powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, potentially named the Neo 9s or Neo 9 Racing Edition. However, DCS indicated a delay in its release, casting doubt on the inclusion of the SD8sG3 chipset.
