Asus Zenfone 11 Ultra: Specifications, Camera, Pricing, and More

On March 14, 2024, Asus is set to introduce the Zenfone 11 Ultra smartphone to the global market, marking the successor to the well-received Zenfone 10. This new device brings notable distinctions from its predecessor.

Design & Display

In a landscape where smartphones continue to grow in size, the Zenfone series, known for providing compact options, might be shifting towards larger designs with the Zenfone 11 Ultra, rumored to feature a substantial 6.78-inch display.

Zenfone 11 Ultra Render

Design-wise, the Zenfone 11 Ultra bears resemblance to the ROG Phone 8, albeit with minor alterations to the rear camera setup. Leaked images indicate a layout with a large camera cutout on the right side and two smaller ones on the left. The back design features geometric patterns in place of the gaming aesthetics seen in previous models, while the device's sides are flat without shoulder triggers.

The Zenfone 11 Ultra is expected to sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with an FHD+ AMOLED LTPO display capable of supporting a 144Hz refresh rate. This differs slightly from the ROG Phone 8, which offers a 165Hz AMOLED display of the same size and resolution.

The Zenfone 11 Ultra is said to be available in five color options: Eternal Black, Skyline Blue, Misty Gray, Verdure Green, and Desert Sienna.

Performance

Continuing the similarities, a Geekbench listing has already unveiled details about the Zenfone 11 Ultra, featuring a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor with a peak clock speed of 3.30GHz. Scoring 2226 and 6949 points in single and multi-core testing, respectively, the device is anticipated to handle daily tasks and heavy applications with ease.

The device is expected to offer configurations with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Cooling details remain unclear, with speculations suggesting a cooling system akin to the ROG Phone 8's conduction cooling setup.

Camera

Rumors suggest the Zenfone 11 Ultra's camera system will boast a 50-megapixel IMX890 main sensor, a notable upgrade from its predecessor. Equipped with a gimbal OIS stabilization system for the main camera, the device is also rumored to feature a 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens and a 32-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. For selfies, the device will offer a 32-megapixel front camera.

Pricing & Availability

Leaked information hints at the base model of the Zenfone 11 Ultra, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, being priced at CZK 24,990 (approximately $1,078 USD / €986 EUR). The higher configuration with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is expected to cost around CZK 26,490 ($1,143 USD / €1,045 EUR). Early bird prices may see a potential increase post-promotion.
