Vivo V40 SE 5G Receives GCF Certification

Vivo is gearing up to launch the Vivo V30 series of smartphones in the global market. However, recent reports suggest that the brand is also working on the Vivo V40 series. The latest development is that the Vivo V40 SE 5G has received approval from the GCF (Global Certification Forum) certification platform.

GCF Certification for Vivo V40 SE 5G

Earlier this month, the Vivo V40 SE 5G was spotted with the model number V2337 in the Bluetooth SIG certification platform’s database. Additionally, the same device was also listed as the Vivo V40 Lite 5G in the GSMA IMEI database at the beginning of this month. Now, the GCF authority has approved the V2337 device under the name Vivo V40 SE 5G.

Global Network Compatibility

The GCF certification indicates that the approved device is capable of functioning on various cellular networks globally. The GCF listing for the Vivo V40 SE 5G provides details about the specific network bands supported by the device. In terms of 5G support, the V40 SE will be compatible with network bands such as n1, n2, n3, n5, n8, n20, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, and n78.

Vivo V40 SE 5G Appears in Google Play Supported Devices List

Furthermore, the Vivo V40 SE 5G has also made an appearance in the Google Play Supported Devices list. However, none of the recent sightings of the device have revealed any concrete information about its specifications. Speculations suggest that the device may be launched in the second quarter of this year.

Successor to Vivo V30 Lite

The Vivo V40 SE 5G is expected to succeed the Snapdragon 695-powered Vivo V30 Lite, which made its debut in December 2023. The V30 Lite featured a 6.67-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, FunTouch OS 13-based Android 13, a 50-megapixel front camera with autofocus, a triple camera setup consisting of a 64-megapixel main camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. It also packed a 4,800mAh battery with 44W fast charging support.
