Xiaomi has expanded its product lineup beyond smartphones with the recent launch of two new Bluetooth speakers in China. These speakers are designed to cater to different user preferences, emphasizing portability and sound quality. The Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker, tailored for outdoor use, boasts a robust 40W output and 360° sound. On the other hand, the smaller Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini offers a more compact audio solution with a 3W output.
Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker: A Powerful Outdoor Companion
The larger Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker features a 5-unit acoustic configuration that delivers a maximum volume of 93dB. Designed to withstand rugged conditions, it comes with an IP67 dust and water resistance rating along with a durable fabric cover. One of its standout features is the 4800mAh battery, offering up to 17 hours of playback time, supporting 22.5W fast charging, and doubling as a power bank.
Key Features and Connectivity Options
This speaker supports Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, LHDC music playback, and integration with Xiaomi’s HyperOS for an enhanced audio experience. Users can connect two smartphones simultaneously, control the RGB light strip using the Mijia app, and pair it with another Xiaomi speaker to create a stereo setup.
Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini: Compact Yet Powerful
Despite its smaller size, the Xiaomi Bluetooth Speaker Mini doesn't compromise on sound quality or features. It also supports 360° sound, comes with an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, and integrates seamlessly with Xiaomi’s audio ecosystem. With a 2000mAh battery, this speaker offers up to 11 hours of playback, making it a convenient choice for on-the-go use.
Both these speakers are currently available for pre-sale in China, priced at 599 yuan ($82) for the larger model and 229 yuan ($32) for the Mini. While they cater to different needs, both aim to provide users with a premium audio experience. International availability details have not been disclosed yet.
