After a Geekbench listing highlighted the S19’s performance earlier today, a new leak on Weibo has provided more insights into the design and specifications of both the Vivo S19 and S19 Pro.
A tipster named Classmate Wu Datou shared what seem to be official marketing posters for the Vivo S19 series.
The first image shows that Vivo is altering the rear design for the S19 phones. The camera module adopts a new, elongated oval shape that markedly differs from previous versions.
Design Language
Although the poster does not specifically identify the phone as either the S19 or S19 Pro, another leak indicates that both phones will share a similar design. Additionally, this leak divulges the camera specifications of the forthcoming smartphones.
Camera Specifications
The Vivo S19 Pro will boast a triple-camera setup on the back. The main sensor will be a 50MP Sony IMX921 with optical image stabilization (OIS).
This is complemented by a 50MP telephoto lens, which also features OIS and has a 50x zoom capability. The telephoto lens utilizes a Sony IMX816 sensor, and the ensemble is completed by an 8MP ultrawide sensor. The front-facing camera on the S19 Pro is also rumored to be a 50MP sensor.
Conversely, the standard S19 will have a more straightforward camera configuration. While it retains the 50MP sensor for selfies, the rear setup will include a single 50MP primary sensor with OIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide lens.
Collaboration
The initial poster also suggests a collaboration between Vivo and the Chinese television series “Fox Spirit Matchmaker” for the S19 series. However, specific details about this partnership have not yet been disclosed.
