Samsung Electronics has introduced its latest Eco-Friends product line, showcasing mobile cases crafted from recycled materials. This fresh collection, developed in partnership with SLASH B SLASH, is custom-made for the Galaxy S24 series, encompassing the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra models, offering a diverse selection of 57 distinct cases.
The initiative behind the Eco-Friends products stems from Samsung’s Future Generation Lab, emphasizing the creation of environmentally friendly goods. These cases and straps are constructed from recycled plastic and vegan leather, guaranteeing that a minimum of 40% of the materials utilized are recycled.
Diverse Designs and Collaborations
Since its inception in 2022, the Eco-Friends line has expanded to include designs featuring renowned characters and symbols from across the globe, such as Sanrio’s Hello Kitty, as well as icons from popular culture like The Rolling Stones. Additionally, a unique collaboration with the K-pop sensation Stray Kids enables fans to unlock exclusive content via NFC cards provided with the cases.
Sustainability through Innovation
Samsung took to social media to unveil the Eco-Friends line, demonstrating how plastic waste can be transformed into eco-conscious phone cases, promoting sustainable practices and environmental awareness.
The Eco-Friends cases initially launched in Korea on February 6 and are set to hit major markets like the U.S. and Japan soon. Consumers can purchase these environmentally conscious accessories from Samsung’s flagship store in Gangnam, the official Samsung website, and via SLASH B SLASH’s online retail platform.
