Xiaomi is currently developing a new smartphone under its sub-brand Redmi, powered by the innovative HyperOS. The upcoming device, known as Redmi 13, recently made an appearance on prominent certification platforms, unveiling key features to the public.

The Redmi 13 was sighted on both FCC and IMEI certifications, identified by the model number 24049RN28L across both platforms. The IMEI listing officially confirmed the device’s name as Redmi 13. As per the FCC certification, this smartphone will operate on Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 1.0 custom skin, built on the Android 14 operating system.
Key Specifications and Expectations
The Redmi 13 is expected to come equipped with Bluetooth 5.3 technology and a 4,930mAh rated battery, likely featuring a typical capacity of 5,000mAh. This battery pack is certified to support 33W wired fast charging. While finer details about the smartphone’s specifications and design were not disclosed in the certifications, it is anticipated to be a direct successor to the Redmi 12, released in 2023.
Evolution from Redmi 12 to Redmi 13
In December 2023, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi 13C model in India, boasting the Dimensity 6100 SoC, a 6.74-inch 90Hz HD+ display, and a 50MP primary camera. On the other hand, the Redmi 12 featured the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 (5G variant), 50MP triple cameras, and a 6.79-inch 90Hz FHD+ display. With this history, it is anticipated that the Redmi 13 will offer comparable hardware with enhancements in performance and features.
