Casio has created a sauna watch that will soon launch a crowdfunding campaign on the Makuake platform in Japan. This watch is made for people who often use saunas, featuring a 12-minute timer, which is a typical suggestion for sauna sessions.
Features of the Watch
In addition to the timer, the watch displays the current time and includes two buttons for changing modes and resetting the timer. There are three different models available: the Casio model/Orange CPP-002-OR, the Casio model/black CPP-002-BK, and the Sauna Ikitai Model/Blue CPP-002-BU. The last one is designed in partnership with the online sauna resource Sauna Ikitai. Each model comes with a stretchy wristband that looks like a locker key and boasts a water resistance rating of 5 ATM. The watch's body is made from a resin that is said to have low moisture absorption, and the battery can withstand heat, lasting up to five years.
Crowdfunding Details
The Makuake campaign is set to kick off on December 2nd and will last for about three months. Currently, it is unclear how much backers will need to pledge for the Casio CPP-002 sauna watch or what the retail price will be. Additionally, it's important to know that the company will only deliver the product to customers within Japan, with no plans for international availability at this point. If you’re in search of a waterproof Casio watch, you might want to check out the W-800H-1AVCF, which provides 100m (~330 ft) water resistance, making it perfect for activities like swimming and snorkeling. This model is available on Amazon US for $21.92.
