Kawasaki Partners with Garmin for Touchscreen on New RIDGE Limited
Kawasaki has teamed up with accessories maker Garmin to enhance the touchscreen capabilities of its latest off-road vehicle, the RIDGE Limited. Set to be included in Kawasaki’s 2024 lineup, the RIDGE Limited is designed for both work and recreation, as well as trail riding.
Sporty Look and Powerful Engine
The 2024 Kawasaki RIDGE Limited boasts a sporty appearance and is equipped with a 999cc in-line four-cylinder engine. Additionally, it comes with a WARN VRX 45-S Powerspot Winch, ensuring its capability for off-road adventures.
Garmin’s Center Console Solution
Garmin’s contribution to the RIDGE Limited comes in the form of a center console solution. This solution is similar to the Tread Powersport navigator and offers various features, including preloaded maps, a communication tool, turn-by-turn trail navigation, and a Group Ride Tracker. With the Tread powersport system, riders can access OpenStreetMap (OSM) and USFS Motor Vehicle Use Maps. The system also provides information on public and private land, satellite images, and topographic maps to facilitate seamless navigation. The Garmin Tread Powersport Off-Road Navigator is currently available on Amazon for $542.29.
User-Friendly Touchscreen
The Kawasaki RIDGE Limited is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen provided by Garmin. Notably, this touchscreen can be operated even while wearing gloves. The display provides essential information such as RPM, battery voltage, engine temperature, and CVT, ensuring riders have access to crucial data at all times.
Pricing and Availability
In the US, the retail price of the Kawasaki RIDGE Limited is set at $33,499. This off-road vehicle is assembled in the US and comes with a 3-year limited warranty. It boasts heavy-duty specifications, including a payload capacity of 1,499/1,000 lb CA model and a towing capacity of 2,000 lb. The RIDGE Limited features all LED lighting and a ladder-type, tubular steel frame. The instrument cluster includes a digital speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, odometer, and dual trip meters, among other features. Currently, the model will be available in metallic shadow gold color. It remains uncertain whether the RIDGE Limited will be released in other markets in the future.
