Huawei has officially hinted at the release of two new consumer devices on a global scale - the Huawei Band 9 fitness tracker and the FreeLace Pro 2 wireless neckband headphones. This announcement was made through a social media post, confirming an imminent launch.
Huawei Band 9
The Huawei Band 9 has previously appeared on Malaysia’s SIRIM and UAE’s TDRA databases under the model number KIM-B19. However, these listings do not disclose specific details about the tracker.
The Band 9 is set to succeed the Huawei Band 8 from 2023. From the teaser image, it is evident that the new tracker retains the familiar design elements of its predecessors. Featuring a rounded rectangular display with 2.5D glass and a side button, Huawei claims that the Band 9 will introduce a "new era in wrist fashion and sleep feature enhancements," although the exact implications remain undisclosed.
Huawei FreeLace Pro 2
In addition to the Band 9, Huawei also hinted at an updated version of its neckband-style headphones, the FreeLace Pro 2. The original FreeLace Pro was introduced in August 2020, making this new iteration highly anticipated.
Despite the passage of time, the FreeLace Pro 2 seems likely to maintain the design aesthetics of its forerunner. The teaser image suggests that the earbud portion of the FreeLace Pro 2 closely resembles that of the original model.
Both the Huawei Band 9 and FreeLace Pro 2 are labeled with "#ComingSoon" in the social media post, indicating an impending launch. However, no specific date has been disclosed by the company yet. Stay tuned for further updates on these products.
