Honor recently hosted an unveiling event in China for its latest offerings, including the Magic 6 Ultimate Edition and Magic 6 RSR Porsche Design smartphones. The company also introduced additional products like the Honor Watch GS 4 and the Band 9.
Honor Watch GS 4 Specifications
The Honor Watch GS 4 boasts a 46mm size and showcases a 1.43-inch circular AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. It comes in three color variations: Starry Sky Exploration, Galaxy Shuttle, and Jasper Astrolabe, offering the choice of Viton or leather straps.
Features and Capabilities
This smartwatch operates on a real-time operating system (RTOS) and supports Bluetooth 5.0 for connectivity. Equipped with Bluetooth calling functionality, including a built-in microphone and speaker, it enables music control on paired devices.
The watch integrates various sensors like an optical heart rate sensor, air pressure sensor, and gyroscope sensor. It can monitor heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and sleep patterns. With an in-built GPS featuring five major satellite positioning systems, it accurately tracks daily steps, as well as activities such as running and cycling. Moreover, it includes over 100 sports modes for diverse workout tracking.
NFC Payment Support and Battery Life
NFC payment capabilities for WeChat and Alipay transactions are included. The smartwatch offers up to two weeks of battery life on a single charge and takes just 60 minutes to reach full charge. With 5ATM waterproofing, it is suitable for swimming activities.
Pricing and Availability
The Honor Watch GS 4 in the Starry Sky Exploration variant is priced at ¥999 ($139), while the other two options cost ¥1199 ($167). Pre-sales have commenced in China, with live sales scheduled to start on March 29. Information regarding a global release date is currently unavailable.
