Samsung's Forthcoming Products: Galaxy S24, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A55
Samsung is preparing to introduce a variety of fresh devices in the upcoming year. Among the anticipated unveilings are the much-awaited Galaxy S24 series, speculated to debut in the second or third week of January. Following closely will be the Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55.
Exynos 1480 Chipset: Performance Breakdown
The Galaxy A35 and A55 are anticipated to run on the innovative Exynos 1480 chipset. Notably, this chipset was recently spotted on the Geekbench platform, offering insights into its performance capabilities.
The Geekbench results indicate that the Exynos 1480 achieved an impressive score of 1180 points in the single-core CPU test and 3,536 points in the multi-core CPU test. These scores surpass those of the Exynos 1280 chip present in the Galaxy A54, which scored 1,108 points in the single-core test and 2,797 points in the multi-core test.
The Technology Within Exynos 1480
The Exynos 1480 is powered by the S5E8845 chipset, previously recognized as the Exynos 1480. This System on a Chip (SoC) incorporates an octa-core CPU design with four high-performance CPU cores operating at 2.75GHz and four power-efficient CPU cores running at 2.05GHz.
Furthermore, the chipset features the RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU, touted to be notably more potent than the Mali GPUs utilized in earlier Exynos iterations. However, it remains uncertain whether this mid-tier GPU offers support for ray tracing in gaming applications.
Leaked Images of Galaxy A55
Recently, leaked images of the Galaxy A55 emerged online, unveiling a sneak peek at its design. The smartphone sports a rectangular form factor and a design reminiscent of the Galaxy A35 and A15 models.
Positioned at the phone's bottom are a USB-C port and a speaker grille, while the top edge hosts a SIM card tray. Interestingly, the images do not depict the presence of a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Screen and Size Specifications
The Galaxy A55 showcases a 6.5-inch display with a center-aligned punch-hole cutout and slim bezels surrounding it. In terms of dimensions, the phone is predicted to measure around 161.1 x 77.3 / 77.9 x 8.2mm.
Support for 25W Fast Charging and Release Date
In recent leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A55 was sighted on 3C certification, confirming its compatibility with 25W fast charging. While the precise launch date for the Galaxy A55 and A35 remains uncertain, it is anticipated that they will be released subsequent to the Galaxy S24 series.
