Vivo's Upcoming Launch Event to Unveil Newest Foldable Smartphones
Vivo is gearing up for its highly anticipated launch event in China, where it is expected to introduce its latest range of foldable smartphones. Among the speculated devices set to be unveiled is the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, which could potentially be one of the initial foldable phones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. However, details regarding the distinctions between the base X Fold 3 and its Pro variant remain elusive.
An emerging leak from tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS) has shed some light on the chipset slated for use in the standard model, along with significant insights concerning the upcoming Vivo Pad 3 tablet.
Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro
Even though DCS did not explicitly name the devices, it is widely believed that the leak alludes to the Vivo X Fold 3 series and the Vivo Pad 3. As per the leak, the X Fold 3 is expected to be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, while the X Fold 3 Pro is anticipated to utilize the more advanced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The inclusion of the SD8G2 on the X Fold 2 hints at it being positioned as a potentially more budget-friendly choice among foldable smartphones.
Vivo Pad 3
Speculations had circulated that the Vivo Pad 3 tablet would boast the Dimensity 9300 chipset. However, the specifics shared by the tipster have a certain degree of ambiguity. Nonetheless, there are suggestions that the Pad 3 might offer users the option between OLED and LCD screen configurations.
The Vivo Pad 2, which made its debut in April, featured a 12.1-inch IPS LCD 144Hz display and the Dimensity 9000 chipset. The recent leak hints at the Pad 3's display size surpassing that of its predecessor.
