    Leaker Jasper Ellens has reportedly ‘come across’ the webshop description of DJI’s Mini 5 Pro before the drone’s official announcement. Just to summarize, the upcoming Mini series drone has already been unboxed and tested by a YouTuber. Additionally, this drone has recently appeared on a Cypriot DJI retailer’s site.

    Camera Features

    According to Ellens’ newest leak, DJI is banking on the Mini 5 Pro’s new CMOS camera sensor to set it apart from the Mini 4 Pro (currently priced at $759 on Amazon). Echoing previous findings, the Mini 5 Pro features a 50 MP CMOS sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and a 1-inch optical format. DJI asserts that this will enhance low-light capabilities compared to the Mini 4 Pro’s 48 MP, 1/1.3-inch, and f/1.7 sensor.

    Video and Shooting Capabilities

    Furthermore, this new camera will provide up to 14 stops of dynamic range for 4K and 60 FPS HDR videos, with support for 10-bit D-Log M and HLG modes. The Mini 5 Pro will also enable ‘true vertical shooting’ thanks to its gimbal that can rotate up to 225° when needed. Reportedly, DJI has also made advancements in its 360° ActiveTrack technology, allowing it to track subjects at speeds of up to 15 m/s on the Mini 5 Pro.

    Connectivity and Release

    The Mini 5 Pro will mark the first DJI drone to include OcuSync 4+ or OcuSync 4 Plus technology. While the differences between this and the current OcuSync 4 remain unclear at this point, the Mini 5 Pro is set to deliver video transmission ranges of up to 20 km in the US, alongside 36-minute flight times powered by its new Intelligent Flight batteries. DJI is anticipated to reveal the Mini 5 Pro to the world by September 18, 2025.
