Oppo has announced a launch event on May 23 for its Reno 12 series smartphones. This series is expected to initially feature two models: the Reno 12 and the Reno 12 Pro. An official teaser video suggests that the Reno 12 series might be available in a silver color option.

Anticipated Models and Processors

Leaks have revealed that the standard Reno 12 will be the first smartphone to use the newly introduced Dimensity 8250 processor. On the other hand, the Reno 12 Pro is expected to be equipped with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 “Star Speed Edition” chipset.

The OPPO Reno 12 Pro may feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED display with a resolution of 2772 × 1240 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. The Dimensity 9200 Star Speed Edition is likely to come with either 12GB or 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and storage options of 256GB or 512GB UFS 3.1. The device will run on Android 14 with ColorOS 14.

The camera system is rumored to include a 50MP main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, a 50MP 2x telephoto camera, and a 50MP front camera. A 5000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging is also expected.
