A recent leak from Digital Chat Station has provided preliminary information about Samsung’s upcoming flagship, the Galaxy S25 Ultra. According to the leak, the S25 Ultra will be the first Samsung device to incorporate the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, which is not particularly surprising.
Camera Specifications
Regarding the camera setup, the device is anticipated to feature a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 3x zoom lens, and a 5x periscope telephoto lens. This configuration closely resembles that of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. However, there remains some ambiguity about the fourth lens and whether Samsung will increase the megapixel count for its zoom lenses compared to the previous model.
Battery and Design
The leak also indicates that the battery and charging specifications will remain consistent. The S25 Ultra is rumored to have a battery capacity ranging from a minimum of 4855mAh to a typical 5000mAh, with a charging speed of 45W.
There are multiple reports suggesting that devices featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 will focus on enhancing battery capacity due to its high power consumption. For example, the forthcoming OPPO Find X7 Ultra is expected to come with a 6,000mAh battery. However, it appears that Samsung does not plan a similar battery upgrade at this time.
Software and Build
We anticipate that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will come with a stable One UI 7 interface based on Android 15. Additionally, a previous leak from last month disclosed that the S25 Ultra will be slimmer than its predecessor, measuring 8.4mm thick compared to the S24 Ultra’s 8.6mm.
Though this size difference is minimal, the report assures that Samsung is not sacrificing camera capabilities for a thinner design. The recent leak from Digital Chat Station supports this assertion.
Furthermore, the S25 Ultra is likely to move away from the sharp corners seen in the S24 Ultra, opting for a more curved design similar to the S23 Ultra and S22 Ultra.
As more details become available, we will continue to provide updates on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.
