In January 2019, noyb took action by filing a complaint against eight firms, including Apple, Amazon, and Google, with the Austrian Data Protection Authority (DSB). Now, after more than five years, a ruling has finally been made: the DSB has sided with noyb.

    During these five years, Google has found numerous ways to stall what should be a straightforward process. For instance, they tried to move the case to Ireland, where, according to noyb, the enforcement of data protection has notable flaws.
