– 17 Max: 6.9″ display with an 8,000 mAh battery; China launch expected within May, with a possible global release under consideration.
– 17T and 17T Pro: global launch expected in late May (around May 28), replacing the 15T/15T Pro lineup.
– Xiaomi is skipping the 16T to align with the rest of its flagship naming.
– “Global” availability can vary by region (EU/Asia/India); stay tuned for official confirmation.
The upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max is a larger take on the compact Xiaomi 17 flagship. According to leaks, the 6.9-inch 17 Max variant carries an 8,000 mAh battery and is expected to be official in China within the next few weeks, in May already.
Max specs
However, word is that a global launch might be on the table. This ain’t a huge surprise given the 6.3-inch Xiaomi 17 is globally available. That said, in Chinese phone talk, ‘global’ can mean anything from wider EU or Asia distro to an Indian launch, so you’ll have to stay tuned for Xiaomi’s final call. Stay alert, updates might hop in anytime.
Global launch timing
In other notes, the global launch for the recently surfaced Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro, which step in for the 15T and 15T Pro, is now pegged for late May. The floating date listed is May 28. No official word yet, just rumours.
Series strategy
Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi is skipping the 16T series to align with the rest of its flagship naming across the global market spectrums.
