Honor unveils new 165Hz OLED tablet with flagship specs and large battery

    Key Takeaway

    1. The MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 features a smaller 12.3-inch OLED display with a high 165Hz refresh rate, peak brightness of 3,000 nits, and advanced viewing technologies, offering improved display quality over the previous 13.3-inch model.
    2. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, slightly lower than the Elite version, and has a reduced battery capacity of 10,100 mAh for a thinner, lighter design (450 grams, 4.8mm thick).
    3. The tablet supports PC-like productivity with dedicated PC mode, external display output, and a keyboard folio accessory, targeting both gaming and productivity users.
    4. Prices in China start at CNY 3,999 ($586) for the entry model, with higher configurations costing up to CNY 5,699 ($835); globally, an almost identical MagicPad 4 is available with slightly lower peak brightness.

New Honor MagicPad 3 Pro: Compact Yet Powerful

Honor is back with a fresh version of their MagicPad 3 Pro, now smaller and possibly more portable. The upgraded model now sports a 12.3-inch screen, a switch from the previous 13.3-inch display. But it’s not just about size, there’s a lot more to this new tablet. The specs vary across the board making it an interesting choice for users who likes a sleek design but also want good features.

    Performance and Battery Life

The MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, a powerful flagship processor. Yet, it’s a step down from the Elite Gen 5 chipset found in the larger 13.3-inch version. The smaller size makes it lighter and easier to carry, but this comes with a trade-off, particularly with battery size. The smaller tablet features a 10,100 mAh battery, in comparison to the 12,450 mAh in the larger model. However, the design improvements include a thinner body at just 4.8mm and less weight — only 450 grams—making it quite portable overall.

    Display Technology and Gaming Features

The main highlight remains the display upgrade. The MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 has a vibrant 165Hz OLED panel, offering peak brightness up to 3,000 nits, making it quite bright especially outdoors. The bezels are kept minimal at 3.9mm for an immersive experience. The display incorporates cutting-edge technologies like 5,280Hz PWM dimming to reduce flickering, enhancing viewing comfort. Additionally, gaming features like super-resolution are integrated, which can help boost gaming visuals on the OLED screen, catering to gamers who demands sharp graphics.

    Multitasking and Global Launch

For productivity lovers, the MagicPad 3 Pro 12.3 supports a dedicated PC mode, including external display output and a keyboard folio. This transforms the tablet into a lean, mean work machine, bridging the gap between tablet and laptop. In China, the starting price is set at CNY 3,999 (~$586) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage version. The top-tier configuration with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage costs CNY 5,699 (~$835). In the international market, the MagicPad 4 with similar specs is already available, although it bumps the peak brightness rating to 2,400 nits compared to this model’s 3,000 nits.

Xiaomi is ready to introduce a new device that is gonna shake things up in the tablet market in China soon. The Redmi K Pad 2, which is a successor to the previous compact model, is packing some flagship features but keeps the small, handy size. Recently, the company showed off its design, and now, we got word on the official launch date.

    Launch Details

According to the latest update, Xiaomi will release its new gadget in China on April 21, 2026. This launch will happen along side the debut of the K90 Max and the Redmi Book Pro 2026 series that are powered by Intel Panther Lake chips. No other info has been shared yet, only the date is confirmed for now.

    Specifications and Rumors

If you missed previous rumors, the Redmi K Pad 2 is said to have a Dimensity 9500 processor—MediaTek’s latest flagship chip. It will also pack a sizeable 9,100mAh battery, making it quite the powerhouse for a compact tablet. As for the display, Xiaomi announced an 8.8-inch screen but didn’t specify whether it will be LCD or AMOLED. The Digital Chat Station report indicates LCD, so don’t expect a radical upgrade here. • Apple’s MacBook Neo and More: Discover Great Value Apple Products

Apple’s MacBook Neo and More: Discover Great Value Apple Products

    Key Takeaway

    1. The iPad Air 2026 features the powerful M4 chip, outperforming competitors like Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 and offering top-tier performance for a midrange tablet.
    2. It has a 10.86-inch display with accurate colors but limited brightness (500 nits) and lacks a 120Hz refresh rate, with design features such as wide bezels and no IP rating.
    3. Priced at $599, the iPad Air 2026 offers a strong value as a lower-cost alternative to the iPad Pro, especially for users who prioritize performance and cloud storage ease.

Apple’s Latest Midrange Tablet, the iPad Air 2026

In the world of tablets, apple’s iPad Air 2026 is considered the midrange champion. Its price point is around $599 for the 128GB model which is quite affordable compared to their premium iPad Pro line. The highlight, of course, is the new M4 chip that powers this iPad. It comes with 8 CPU cores, 9 GPU cores and a hefty 12GB of RAM. This combination means it outperforms most of its competition in raw power.

    Performance and Hardware Details

The performance is stunning. Benchmarks like Geekbench 6, with a single-core score nearing 3,700, put the iPad Air in a league above many Android rivals, such as the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11. Although some throttling happens when pushed hard, it’s quite moderate. The battery life is respectable too, lasting around 12 hours during web browsing. But, compared to Android devices, it does fall a little short in longevity. The display features a 10.86-inch IPS panel with 2360 x 1640 resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate, rendering colors accurately with decent uniformity. Brightness, however, is only 500 nits, which isn’t enough for outdoor use without difficulty. The bezels look kinda dated, and lacking a 120Hz refresh rate might be a letdown for some. Yet, it does come with USB-C, Pencil support and an aluminum body—though it isn’t water-resistant or rated for IP standards.

    Price, Software, and Final Thoughts

Starting at $599, the iPad Air 2026 offers a lot for a lower price than the iPad Pro, but some Android options with OLED screens or more storage can still be more attractive on price. iPadOS has made multitasking better but still suffers from being less productive than Apple’s desktops or macOS. For those with existing iPad Airs from 2025, there’s no real need to upgrade. However, first-timers or those with older models might find it worthwhile, especially as it serves as a cheaper alternative to iPad Pro. Upgrading storage remains costly, yet surprisingly more affordable than last year. For folks who rely on cloud storage and don’t mind the 60Hz refresh rate, the iPad Air 2026 checks many boxes for high-end performance at an approachable price, making it a standout in Apple’s tablet range alongside the MacBook Neo.
