5. Honor is focusing its marketing on competing with Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7.
We are nearing the official release of Honor’s latest foldable device. Coming in just under a year after the Magic V3, which is currently priced at $1,550 on Amazon, the Magic V5 is expected to take over as the lightest foldable phone in the world, beating the Vivo X Fold5. Additionally, the new Magic V will be sleeker than the Oppo Find N5, even though Honor is currently focusing its marketing efforts on Samsung and the Galaxy Z Fold7.
Exciting Developments Ahead
The Magic V5 is set to launch on July 2, and Honor has been actively sharing updates about the device on Chinese social media platforms. Recently, the company revealed several sample images taken with the Magic V5’s telephoto lens. As teased last week, this telephoto camera is anticipated to outshine those found in the Find N5 and X Fold5, boasting an impressive 64 MP native output.
Camera Features Unveiled
Honor’s showcased photos demonstrate that the telephoto camera on the new model has a wider aperture compared to those on the Find N5 and X Fold5. To give some perspective, those earlier models have telephoto cameras with f/2.7 and f/2.6 apertures. In comparison, the Magic V5 is set to debut with an f/2.5 telephoto camera, an improvement from the f/3.0 aperture seen in the Magic V3. However, this year’s model seems to reduce the optical zoom from 3.5x to 3x. Furthermore, it looks like the Magic V5 will provide a 23 mm equivalent focal length for its main camera.
