The Pixel 10 series was officially announced today, August 20, 2025, along with a fresh wireless charging ecosystem.

    Pixelsnap: A Stylish New Series

Named Pixelsnap by Google, this new lineup certainly impresses with a design that aligns well with the latest Pixel Watch, Buds, and smartphones. The Pixelsnap Ring Stand, priced at $29.99, is a chic version of a typical magnetic phone holder that comes in a single Sterling color. Interestingly, this item features Google branding, whereas the sleek $39.99 Pixelsnap Charger does not.

    Pricing and Features

The Rock Candy-colored Charger is also available with an optional Stand, which bumps the total cost to $69.99. This Charger marks Google’s first accessory that supports the new Qi2 25W specification, but it is only compatible with the Pixel 10 Pro XL. For users of the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, or 10 Pro Fold, the charging speed will drop to 15W.

    Additional Accessories and Pre-orders

All new accessories are available for pre-order directly from Google, with some select options offered on Amazon, ahead of their launch on August 28, 2025. It’ll be fascinating to see if Pixelsnap can eliminate the wireless charging issues Google has experienced in the past.

    1. The Motorola Moto G06 will feature an edge-to-edge camera setup with dual lenses and a notch for the front camera, differing from the previous model’s punch-hole design.
    2. It will be available in four colors: beige, Pantone Tendril (green), Pantone Tapestry (dark blue), and Pantone Arabesque (orange).

    4. The device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor and include a 5,100 mAh battery.
    5. The Moto G06 is anticipated to maintain similar specifications to its predecessor, including a 6.67-inch display and camera features.

The new Motorola Moto G06 is likely to be revealed shortly, as Ytechb has recently shared what are claimed to be authentic product images of this budget-friendly mid-range device. The smartphone will reportedly be available in four colors: beige, Pantone Tendril (green), Pantone Tapestry (dark blue), and Pantone Arabesque (orange).

    Design Similarities and Changes

Upon first look, the design closely resembles that of the Moto G05, with an edge-to-edge camera setup featuring dual lenses and an LED flash. It sports a flat frame and a display that has a noticeably wide chin at the bottom. Still, there’s at least one noticeable change: instead of the punch-hole design found in its predecessor, Motorola has chosen to include a notch for the front-facing camera in this new version. The volume buttons and the power button, which seems to include a fingerprint sensor, can be found on the right side of the device.

    Pricing and Specifications

Rumors suggest that the Moto G06 will debut in Europe with options of either 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage priced at €122.90, or a model with 256 GB of storage costing €169.90. Like its predecessor, this device is expected to be powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 Extreme processor, which consists of two ARM Cortex-A75 performance cores that can reach clock speeds of up to 2.0 GHz, paired with six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores. It is also anticipated to have a robust 5,100 mAh battery. More information on other specifications is still awaited. The previous model came equipped with a 6.67-inch, 90 Hz 720p+ IPS display, a 50 MP primary camera, and an 8 MP front camera.

  • Pixel 10 Users Get Early Access to T-Mobile’s Starlink App Support

Pixel 10 Users Get Early Access to T-Mobile’s Starlink App Support

    Key Takeaways

    1. Early Access to Satellite Data: Pixel 10 users can experience app support through T-Mobile’s Cellular Starlink service before its official launch on October 1.

    2. Limited App Availability: Initially, only three Google apps—Maps, Messages, and Find Hub—will be available for satellite connectivity.

    3. Manage Expectations: Connection speeds are limited (around 4 Mbps), making it unsuitable for streaming but functional for basic apps.

    4. Priority for Pixel 10 Users: Pixel 10 users get priority access as the service is fine-tuned, with plans to include more apps in the future.

    5. Preorder and Pricing Details: The Pixel 10 series is available for preorder starting at $799.99, with options for trade-in credits and various plans for T-Satellite service.

If you decide to get a Pixel 10, you’ll be one of the first to experience app support through T-Mobile’s Cellular Starlink service. The new flagship device is set to launch on August 28, and T-Mobile is providing early access to satellite-powered data features for Pixel 10 users ahead of the official launch on October 1. This means that if your Pixel 10 is linked to T-Mobile’s T-Satellite plan, you can utilize selected apps via Starlink’s satellites before anyone else does. As stated in a blog post on T-Mobile’s website, the company believes this capability is “far too important to hold back.”

    Limited App Availability at Launch

At the start, the service will be restrictd to three Google applications. Maps, Messages, and Find Hub have been enhanced to work with satellite connectivity. This could prove to be especially handy if you find yourself without service in remote locations. Google Maps can guide you without cell towers, while Find Hub can assist in locating a lost device even when it’s off the grid. Messages already supports SMS and RCS through T-Satellite, but early access will also allow features like group chats and integration with Google’s Gemini chatbot.

    Manage Your Expectations

T-Mobile officials warn users to keep their expectations in check. Gavin Gee, the carrier’s senior director of product marketing, mentions that the connection is significantly more limited than a 5G network. Early tests indicate download speeds of roughly 4 Mbps, which means that while basic maps and text-based apps are usable, streaming video is out of the question. He states that the intention was to ensure that the system worked reliably for the crucial apps in areas where people often lose service. “Customers shouldn’t expect to stream a 4K movie. That’s simply not going to happen. However, there are still valuable use cases like being able to access Maps.”

Priority Access for Pixel 10 Users

T-Mobile mentions that Pixel 10 users receive priority access because the service still requires fine-tuning across various devices and operating systems. Updates to Android and Pixel software have enabled the certification of these phones first. iPhones running iOS 26 are also anticipated to join the early access program in September. By October, the company aims to broaden its offerings beyond Google’s core apps to also include AccuWeather, WhatsApp, and X.

For those thinking about getting the new phone, T-Mobile is already accepting preorders for the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Pro XL, with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold scheduled to arrive on October 9. Prices start at $799.99, and the carrier is providing trade-in credits and discounts on its premium plans. The T-Satellite service is free on Go5G Next and Experience Beyond plans, or can be added to other T-Mobile plans for $10 per month. Customers on AT&T and Verizon can also enroll by paying the same monthly fee, but activation requires either a call or a visit to a store, as the service operates on a secondary eSIM.

  • Google Launches Tensor G5: First 3nm Smartphone Chip

Google Launches Tensor G5: First 3nm Smartphone Chip

    Key Takeaways

    1. The Tensor G5 SoC is the first chip made with TSMC’s 3 nm technology, enhancing power efficiency.
    2. It features an eight-core CPU with a claimed performance increase of up to 34% over the Tensor G4.
    3. The Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) is reportedly 60% faster than its predecessor.
    4. It includes the Google Titan M2 security chip for improved security measures.
    5. The Tensor G5 supports C2PA Content Credentials and can run the Gemini Nano AI model locally for various on-device features.

Google recently introduced its new Tensor G5 SoC for the Pixel 10 series. The chip has been widely discussed online, and from what we can tell, it doesn’t bring significant changes. Nevertheless, it is the first chip produced using TSMC’s advanced 3 nm technology, which should improve power efficiency.

    Specifications and Performance

Google hasn’t officially released the specifications yet, but a previous Geekbench leak indicated that the chip might feature an eight-core CPU. It includes one Cortex-X4 core running at 3.78 GHz, five Cortex-A725 cores at 3.05 GHz, and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores clocked at 2.25 GHz. Google claims that this setup could provide up to a 34% performance increase compared to the Tensor G4. In addition, its Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) is said to be as much as 60% faster than its predecessor.

    GPU and Security Features

While details about the GPU in the Tensor G5 remain undisclosed, many believe it to be the PowerVR DXT-48-1536 from Imagination Technologies. It appears that hardware-level raytracing is not enabled. Other than that, info about the internal components is sparse, except for the inclusion of the Google Titan M2 security chip for enhanced protection.

    New Features

Importantly, the Tensor G5 marks the first Google phone to support C2PA Content Credentials, which aims to combat the massive amount of AI-generated content. Furthermore, it can operate the company’s Gemini Nano AI model locally, enabling features like Magic Cue, Voice Translate, and Call Notes to function on-device, likely without needing an internet connection.

    5. Pricing and Availability: The Pixel 10 Pro Fold is priced starting at $1,799 and can be pre-ordered in two colors, with availability set for October 2025.

Google has just released its latest foldable device, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Though many details were shared ahead of time, there are still some interesting features that stand out. Sadly, all these innovations come with a significant price. This device is driven by the Google Tensor G5 SoC, which is the first one made using a TSMC process.

    Display Features

To kick things off, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold boasts an 8-inch inner OLED screen that offers a resolution of 2076 x 2152 pixels, an adaptive refresh rate of 120 Hz, and can reach up to 1,800 nits of HDR brightness. It supports 24-bit color depth. Google claims that the display is made with ultra-thin glass and has two layers of impact resistance, promising durability for up to ten years. The outer display has a 6.4-inch OLED screen (1080 x 2364) with similar specifications.

    Battery and Storage

As for battery life, Google states that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold’s 5,015 mAh battery can last around 30 hours on a full charge. It supports wired charging at 30 watts and 15 watts for wireless charging (Qi 2). The device features Pixelsnap, a Google tech similar to MagSafe, enabling it to connect to a charger even when unfolded. Memory options start at 256 GB and go up to 1 TB, with all variants offering 256 GB of storage.

    Camera Capabilities

The camera setup includes a 48 MP wide-angle lens (f/1.7, 1/2″ sensor), a 10.2 MP wide-angle lens, and a 10.8 MP telephoto lens with a 5x optical zoom. All three utilize AI for 20x SuperRes zoom capabilities. For selfies, it uses the same 10 MP front camera for both the inner and outer displays. Video can be recorded in 4K at 60 FPS and slow-motion at 240 FPS. While these features are somewhat limited compared to competitors, Google tries to compensate with a range of AI enhancements.

    Connectivity and Durability

The Pixel 10 Pro Fold also comes with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, support for sub-6 GHz and mmWave 5G, and a USB 3.2 port. It includes a fingerprint sensor for secure access, and it has an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. However, Google warns that this rating may diminish over time due to regular usage, and any liquid damage will void the warranty.

Currently, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold can be pre-ordered in two colors (Moonstone and Jade) from Google’s website, starting at a price of $1,799 for the base model. Unfortunately, it won’t be available until October 2025, unlike the Pixel 10 series, which is set to launch next week on August 28.

As for pricing, the TCL 60 Ultra NxtPaper hasn’t been announced yet, but it will come bundled with a charger, a protective case, and a stylus. It will be offered in a single color option: black.

    5. Xiaomi is positioning itself to compete with the upcoming Pixel 10 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro, but availability outside of China for the Pro models remains uncertain.

The upcoming launch of Xiaomi’s new flagship smartphones is fast approaching. According to current information, Xiaomi is set to unveil its first Xiaomi 16-branded devices next month, following Qualcomm’s announcement of the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. Qualcomm has arranged its next Snapdragon Summit for September 23 to 25, leading to speculation that Xiaomi will host a launch event for the Xiaomi 16 series in late September.

    New Details Emerge

Meanwhile, Digital Chat Station has shared fresh insights regarding what is expected to be a new addition to Xiaomi’s flagship lineup. To give a bit of background, the company currently has the Xiaomi 15 (priced at $900 on Amazon) as the only option under 6.5 inches in its flagship range. A successor is anticipated to be revealed next month, and Digital Chat Station suggests that a smaller Xiaomi 16 Pro may also be introduced.

    Anticipated Features

Interestingly, this information comes shortly after Xiaomi announced that major changes are in store for the Xiaomi 16 series.
