    5. Pricing ranges from around $367 to $425, with pre-orders available before the April 25 release.

    Introduction of Huawei AI Glasses

Alongside their latest smartphones and smartwatches, Huawei has unveiled a new piece of wearable tech, the Huawei AI Glasses, at its recent Pura mega launch event. Think of these glasses as a next-gen version of the Huawei Smart Glasses 2, which they released last year. The new design and features make them stand out in the market of smart eyewear.

    Design and Build Quality

They’ve upgraded the overall look, using a titanium alloy for the frame which is both lightweight and durable. Huawei has put effort into the weight distribution so they are more comfortable to wear for longer periods, weighing only about 35.5 grams. The temples of these glasses are quite thin, at just 6.25 millimeters thick, making them sleek. Also, with an IP54 rating, these glasses are dust and water resistant, so sweat or light rain won’t damage them.

    Variants and Aesthetic Options

The Huawei AI Glasses come in three different styles to match personal preferences. The Titanium Silver Gray variant features a semi-rimless design, giving a semi-open look. Meanwhile, the Shimmering Silver option has a classic full-rim sunglasses frame, and the Modern Black is a full-rim optical style. These choices make the device versatile for different fashion tastes.

    Power and Processing Capabilities

The core of these glasses is a brand-new AI chip with a dual-engine setup. This dual processing system manages the AI functionalities smoothly. Users can activate the AI assistant by voice or a dedicated button. Remarkably, it can recognize voices even when there’s a lot of background noise, and it can pick up quiet speech at just 47dB, making it highly effective in busy environments.

    Camera and Imaging Features

The smart glasses pack a 12MP camera with a 1/2.8 sensor, capable of recording videos at 1920 x 1440 resolution at 30fps. They can also take high-resolution images of up to 4092 × 3072 pixels. Huawei introduces HDR Vivid Standard support, the first time for AI smart glasses, along with AI RAW support for sharper images. The device can automatically correct tilted shots and stabilizes images with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). The low-light mode enables better shots in dark settings.

    Connectivity and Additional Functionalities

Captured media files are automatically uploaded to the connected smartphone’s gallery, and users can preview images on their smartwatches. You can easily switch between the glasses’ camera and your phone’s camera during live streams. Besides photography and video, the glasses also support contactless payments, smart home controls, and live translation. Huawei enhanced the speakers using its Histen algorithm for crystal-clear audio, and the triple-microphone array boosts sound pickup accuracy. Improved antenna design ensures faster Wi-Fi, better signal stability, and resistance to interference, even in dense areas.

    Battery, Storage, and Pricing

The glasses house a 258mAh battery, offering up to 12 hours of usage on a single charge. A full charge takes just 45 minutes, thanks to the magnetic charging connector that can be used while charging. Storage is ample with 64GB built-in, perfect for saving photos and videos. The device supports Bluetooth 6.0, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth Multipoint, touch controls, and wear detection. Pricing varies: the Titanium Silver Gray and Modern Black are priced at CNY 2499 (~$367/€311), while Shimmering Silver costs CNY 2899 (~$425/€361). Pre-orders are open, with official release happening on April 25.

Insta360 Luna Ultra Leak Breaks Silence

Even though Insta360 kept its Luna Ultra behind some frosted glass during their “exclusive sneak peek” at NAB 2026, and only allowed a few YouTubers to test the pre-release gimbal units, the internet move faster than their marketing stuff. A full specs sheet just went viral on social media, revealing details the company didn’t show publicly. Now, folks are wondering if these leaked specs are real or just rumors.

The leaked info suggests Luna Ultra is much more than just a simple gimbal camera. It looks like a modular system with two lenses, both calibrated with Leica technology, aimed to add more innovation in the handheld camera market which is always looking for fresh ideas. The standout feature here is that it’s not single-lens, making it more versatile.

    Zoom Capabilities Stirdebate Among Rumors

The comparison leaked chart indicates that the Luna Ultra will use two different Leica-calibrated systems. There is a speech about a dedicated telephoto lens but the specific zoom magnification is controversial. Some rumors hint at a 3x optical zoom with 6x lossless zoom, while others suggest Insta360 squeezed in a more powerful 6x optical zoom with 12x lossless zoom support. People are divided, but having a dedicated zoom lens positions the Luna Ultra a step ahead of competitors like the Osmo Pocket 4, especially the upcoming 4P version.

Expected Launch Confirmed and Market Implications

Even though NAB 2026 was only a preview, the polished marketing leaks hint that Insta360 might be gearing up for a full launch very soon. With DJI grappling with regulatory issues in the USA, the Luna Ultra could be the “Pocket killer” users are eagerly waiting for, potentially shaking up the portable camera scene.

    Insta360 Luna Ultra Dual-Camera Review: 1-Inch Sensor & 10-Bit iLog

    Key Takeaway

    1. Insta360 previewed its Luna series, including the Luna Ultra with a secondary zoom lens, aiming to compete with DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4.
    2. The Luna Ultra features a 1-inch sensor, f/1.8 aperture, and a potential 6x optical zoom, with footage shot in a new 10-bit color profile called “iLog.”
    3. The Luna Pro remains largely mysterious but is confirmed to be a single-camera model, co-engineered with Leica, with a launch expected before June 2026.
    4. The Luna cameras are anticipated to be available in the US, marking a key geographic advantage over DJI’s offerings.
    5. Additional accessories like the Insta360 Mic Pro wireless microphone with an E-Ink display are part of the ecosystem.

Introduction to the new Insta360 Luna lineup

Recently, the handheld gimbal camera world got a big shake up when Insta360 decided to show off their upcoming Luna series at NAB 2026 in Las Vegas. After a lot of leaks and rumors that had been floating around, the company finally gave a sneak peek. The excitement is real, especially since creators that got to test the cameras shared videos on YouTube, confirming that Insta360 is not just copying DJI but actually trying to go beyond what DJI has done.

Details about the Luna series models

The most interesting part about the new lineup is that it consists of two models. The first one is called Luna Ultra, which is a dual-cam design, and the second is the Luna Pro. The Luna Pro still keeps some secrets but is confirmed to be a single-camera device, similar to the DJI Osmo Pocket 4. The preview specs show a 1-inch sensor with a 20mm equivalent lens. Its field of view is about the same as the Osmo Pocket 4, but Insta360 has an advantage with a brighter aperture of f/1.8 versus the Osmo’s f/2.0. This difference could help it perform better in low light situations.

    Camera features and specifications

    • Sensor size: 1 inch
    • Focal length: 20mm equivalent
    • Aperture: f/1.8
    • Color profile: iLog with 10-bit color
    • Dynamic range: 14 stops

The footage shared by creators shows that the Luna series can shoot in “iLog,” a new color profile that enhances color grading and dynamic range. Interestingly, the specs look a lot like those of DJI’s Osmo Pocket 4 — nearly identical, in fact. This means Insta360 might be offering similar performance, but with its own twist.

Zoom feature in the Luna Ultra

A highlight of the Luna Ultra is its secondary zoom lens, which, while official focal lengths haven’t been announced (which is kinda odd), has shown footage suggesting a zoom range that could be around 6x optical. This feature could be a game-changer, providing creative options that are rare in compact cameras. The footage demonstrates that this zoom may provide high-quality images, making it a key selling point for the device.

    Additional gear and ecosystem

Besides the cameras themselves, Insta360 introduced the “Mic Pro,” a new wireless microphone. It’s shaped like a button and comes with an E-Ink display, which allows users to customize branding. The Luna cameras, which are co-developed with Leica, are expected to be available before June 2026, giving consumers in the US a chance to get their hands on them. Interestingly, there are rumors that Oppo might also be developing its own gimbal camera, so competition might soon heat up. For now, it looks like Insta360’s latest tech will be accessible in the US, unlike DJI’s offerings which are not widely available there anymore.

    1. Microsoft’s Surface PC releases, including the Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 12, have been delayed by approximately one month.
    2. All versions of the Surface Laptop 8 will be configurable with OLED displays.
    3. The new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models are expected to be smaller and may see significant price increases, with some versions potentially costing 65% more than previous models.

Latest Insights on Microsoft’s Surface PC Launches

Roland Quandt recently give us new updates about Microsoft’s upcoming Surface device line-up. He shared some initial details about the Surface Laptop 8 and Surface Pro 12 last week. The tech world is waiting eagerly as these devices are expected to introduce some interesting features and improvements.

Details on Display Options and Variants

Windows Central added that all Surface Laptop 8 versions might feature OLED screens, which will be a big upgrade for sharpness and color vibrancy. They also hinted at smaller versions of Surface Pro and Surface Laptop, which could appeal to users who prefer more compact designs. The inclusion of both ARM and Intel chips means users might get a broader choice depending on their needs.

Delay in Launch and Price Speculations

According to Quandt, Microsoft is delaying the launch of its new Surface devices by around a month. He mentioned on Bluesky that the prices are ‘so bad’, but didn’t give any specific numbers. A Dutch retailer, however, suggests that the Surface Pro 12 might be up to 65% pricier than the older model, which was priced around $999 on Amazon. This means some versions could be quite expensive.

Upcoming Models and Expected Release Timeline

This delay probably affects the new Intel-powered Surface models codenamed Panther Lake, which might now release in July. Meanwhile, their Snapdragon X2 based counterparts are expected to arrive later, between July and September 2026. As of now, there are no official images or detailed promotional materials available for these devices yet, so all the information is based on leaks and rumors.

    Key Takeaway

    1. Asus’s TUF Gaming A14 FA401EA, the first AMD Strix Halo-powered gaming laptop, is now available in the UK.
    2. It features AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 388 APU with a 14-inch 2.5K display and weighs just 1.48 kg.

    5. The FA401EA provides up to 16 GB of VRAM, and a 64 GB RAM option is available in the Eurozone.

Asus Expands AMD Strix Halo Gaming Laptop Availability to the UK

Asus has serously been making moves to make their AMD powered gaming laptops more available globally. In a surprise move, they’ve now launched the TUF Gaming A14 FA401EA in the UK markets. Previously, in March this year, this particular model was only available in the US, so it’s good to see it finally reaching more gamers across Europe.

Power and Performance of the TUF Gaming A14

This laptop’s got some pretty interesting specs. It is notably the first to feature AMD’s Ryzen AI Max+ 388 APU, which is supported by the Radeon 8060S integrated graphics. The Ryzen AI Max+ 388 has four cores less and eight threads fewer than the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 used in high-end models like the ROG Flow Z13, which costs around $2,069. This configuration delivers a balance suitable for gaming and multitasking, even if not top-tier compared to its higher-end sibling.

    Design, Display, and Battery Life

In terms of design, the FA401EA combines AMD’s Strix Halo platform with a 14-inch IPS display. It has a resolution of 2.5K (2560 x 1600) pixels and a refresh rate of 165 Hz that assures smooth gameplay. The entire chassis weighs just 1.48 kilograms, making it quite portable, especially for a gaming laptop. The device is equipped with a 73 Wh battery, which paired with the hardware, should offer decent usage times, and it supports up to 85 W power input to the CPU in Turbo mode.

    Limitations and Pricing Details

One downside, however, is that in the UK, Asus has limited the RAM to 32 GB. That means the laptop can only handle up to 16 GB VRAM, and basically, the rest of the system is restricted similarly. The price tag is set at £1,649.99 with a 1 TB storage setup. It’s worth noting that outside the UK, particularly in the Eurozone, some variants with 64 GB RAM are available for more flexibility. So, enthusiasts might want to consider regional options depending on their needs.

  • Apple iPhone 18 to feature cost-reducing downgrades

    Key Takeaway

    1. The iPhone 18 and iPhone 18e are rumored to be delayed until spring 2027, with only high-end models launching in September 2026.
    2. The iPhone 18 is expected to be downgraded in features and components to reduce production costs, aligning more closely with the cheaper iPhone 18e.
    3. Possible omissions in the iPhone 18 may include features like the dedicated camera shutter button, higher refresh rate displays, and potentially some camera and charging capabilities.

Rumors Concerning the Launch Schedule of iPhone 18 and 18e

There are lots of rumors flying around lately about the new iPhones from Apple. Apparently, the iPhone 18 and the 18e might not shown up until spring 2027. Only the high-end versions, like the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, as well as a possible fold or ultra model, are expected to be announced in September. These early leaks come from a leaker named Fixed Focus Digital. According to them, the iPhone 18 will not only be released later than expected but also might be less advanced than the current iPhone 17 model.

    Pricing and Specifications Details

    • It is said that, in an effort to cut costs, the iPhone 18 will be cheaper than the iPhone 17, which currently sells for about $803 on Amazon.
    • Size, display, and camera features might be downgraded to save money, but the exact specifics haven’t been confirmed. The iPhone 17 sports a 120 Hz OLED display, there’s an extra ultra-wide-angle camera, and the Dynamic Island feature makes the phone more interactive.
    • Some features in the upcoming models could be missing, like the dedicated camera shutter button or possibly the 25-watt wireless fast charging, which is higher than the 15-watt charging found in older versions.

    Potential Changes and Market Strategy

This move by apple probably aims to counteract supply chain issues caused by the ongoing DRAM shortages, which impact the cost and availability of memory chips. For the production process, it looks like they are considering less expensive chips, memory, and manufacturing methods. And, they might also simplify some of the hardware, which could affect the overall performance and features of the new devices.

    Expected Features and Rumors

Even though Apple is known for keeping things under wraps, some insiders say that certain features like the 120 Hz refresh rate, ultra-wide cameras, or the Dynamic Island may be removed or toned down in the cheaper models. For example, the iPhone 17 has a significantly better display compared to the iPhone 17e that come with a slightly smaller screen and fewer features. Still, these early rumors should be taken with skepticism, because Apple is known for surprise announcements and product tweaks right up until the launch date.

    2. It features extensive I/O options, including dual 10 Gb/s Ethernet, multiple USB 4 ports, and HDMI 2.1 output.
    3. The device offers up to 200 TB of storage via five SATA bays and one NVMe slot, with additional NVMe slots available for SSD expansion.
    4. Despite its advanced specs, the base model ships with only 128 GB of storage, which is relatively small for its intended use.

    Mini PC Meets High-End NAS

Even tho AMD designed their Strix Halo lineup as processors for laptops, it turns out they are quite versatile and gets used in different gadgets. Minisforum decided to use one of these chips to create a very powerful Network Attached Storage (NAS), called the N5 Max. This device is not just a regular NAS, it comes packed with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 CPU and an enormous 64 GB of RAM. Many systems that use the same chip usually have 128 GB, but Minisforum probably cut corners here because, well, RAM is really rare and expensive these days.

    Pricing and Storage Options

The N5 Max costs a jaw-dropping $2,899, which is a lot of money for a NAS. If you want to buy it, you can start placing your orders on April 23. But remember, the price only includes the basic machine – storage needs to be bought separately. The initial setup comes with a tiny 128 GB drive in one of its five NVMe slots. And for more space, it has five SATA bays, so you can expand your storage up to 200 TB if you need massive data storage.

    Connectivity and Features

This isn’t just any NAS; it comes with a impressive array of ports. You get two 10 Gb/s Ethernet connections for fast networking, two USB 4 ports running at 80 Gb/s, another USB 4 port with 40 Gb/s, and even an HDMI 2.1 port for connecting a monitor. That’s pretty unusual on most NAS devices, which are mainly for storage and not display output. In fact, it’s really like a compact high-power mini PC that’s perfect for those who want lots of local data handling capabilities without wireless features, making it super reliable for critical tasks.

    Summary

Overall, the Minisforum N5 Max is a beastly piece of kit, blending high performance computing with expansive storage potential, making it suitable for professional use or advanced home setups. With its hefty price tag and top-tier features, it’s clearly aimed at users who want a totally powerful and flexible NAS experience.
