Introduction of the New LG StandbyMe 2 Max
Last July, LG announced the original LG StandbyMe 2 Smart TV, and now they follow up with a bigger model, the LG StandbyMe 2 Max. This version replaces the smaller 27-inch QHD display with a larger 32-inch 4K touchscreen panel. Despite the size increase, it still features a 60 Hz LCD, but the main focus is on its touchscreen capability which makes controlling webOS easier with just your finger rather than using a remote.
Design and Portability Features
One of the key differences of the LG StandbyMe 2 Max is its portable design. The TV comes with an adjustable stand, that can be set from 1.10 meters to 1.30 meters in height, making it flexible for different viewing situations. It weighs 20.3 kilograms and comes with wheels, making it super easy for the user to move it around different rooms or locations without much effort. For wall mounting, LG offers an optional mount that attaches with only a single screw, adding convenience for those who prefer to hang their TV.
Performance and Connectivity Specifications
The portable Smart TV includes a built-in 144 Wh battery, which LG claims can support about 4 hours and 30 minutes of usage without being plugged in. This battery is charged easily through a USB-C connection. The device also features a 10-watt sound system, providing decent audio quality for everyday use. Connectivity options include HDMI ports for wired devices like game consoles, and Wi-Fi 6E for streaming content directly from popular services. The operating system running the TV is webOS 26, giving access to numerous apps and features.
Pricing and Availability
Initially, the LG StandbyMe 2 Max (model 32LX6BPGA) will launch in South Korea, with a price tag of around KRW 1.59 million, which is approximately $1,080. Information about the international market release remains to be announced. Meanwhile, the original 27-inch LG StandbyMe 2 remains available in the US for about $899, providing a smaller but still portable TV option for consumers.
