US pricing expectations have surfaced for Samsung’s upcoming generation of book-style foldables, just days after European figures circulated online. According to Korean outlet Sedaily, the Galaxy Z Fold8 will carry a starting price of $1,899 in the United States for the 256GB variant. The larger Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is listed at $2,099, marking a $100 increase over the Galaxy Z Fold7’s launch price. Sedaily notes that Samsung is still conducting a final pricing review, and these figures could shift before the official announcement. Both models are confirmed to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy processor.

European Pricing and Storage Tiers

The US report follows a broader European leak detailing price points across storage configurations. The Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra is said to start at €2,199 for 256GB, climbing to €2,399 for 512GB and reaching €2,799 for the top 1TB version. The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 opens at €1,999 for 256GB, with the 512GB model at €2,199 and the 1TB variant at €2,599. Meanwhile, the clamshell-style Galaxy Z Flip8 is expected to launch at €1,299 for 256GB and €1,499 for 512GB. On the wearable side, the same leak points to a Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 with LTE priced at €749, while the Galaxy Watch9 starts at €409 for the 40mm size and €459 for the 44mm edition.

Early In-Store Sightings and Design Hints

Adding to the pre-launch picture, a Reddit user recently shared a photograph that appears to show the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8 already placed on display at a Samsung retailer in South Korea. The image depicts the Galaxy Z Fold8 in a light blue finish, with the Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 shown in black. A dark stripe is visible along the center of the Fold8’s hinge, hinting at the device’s revised structural design.

Updated Form Factor and Shared Platform

The Galaxy Z Fold8 introduces a refreshed form factor for Samsung’s foldable lineup, pairing a 5.4-inch cover display with a 7.8-inch main folding screen set to a 4:3 aspect ratio. In contrast to the Ultra variant, the standard Fold8 is expected to feature a dual rear camera array instead of a triple-sensor system and a marginally smaller battery, though key specifications—including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset—remain shared across both devices. Samsung is widely expected to officially unveil the new foldables at a Galaxy Unpacked event in London on July 22.
