Samsung’s next wave of foldable devices is taking clearer shape ahead of the anticipated July 22, 2026 launch event. Three models—the Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, and Galaxy Z Flip8—have surfaced in what appears to be an in-store retail display in South Korea, each shown in a distinct color option.
A new compact form factor emerges
The standard Galaxy Z Fold8 draws the most attention, as it introduces a distinctly different footprint to Samsung’s lineup. It pairs a 5.4-inch secondary display with a foldable 7.8-inch main screen using a 4:3 aspect ratio. A visible black stripe runs along the center of the hinge, a detail consistent with earlier design leaks. The device shown in the photograph appears in a light blue finish, while both the Fold8 Ultra and Flip8 are displayed in black.
Shared silicon, divided by cameras and battery
Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra both rely on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. The standard model pares back the camera system to two rear sensors instead of three and carries a slightly smaller battery, yet otherwise tracks closely with the Ultra’s specifications. The gap widens for the Galaxy Z Flip8, which is expected to adopt a Samsung Exynos 2600 chipset in European markets.
European pricing and storage tiers
Pricing places the base Galaxy Z Fold8 with 256 GB of storage at €1,999. Stepping up to the larger displays and the additional telephoto camera on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra adds another €200, bringing the total to €2,199. The Galaxy Z Flip8 enters at a lower €1,299, positioning it as the most accessible entry in the 2026 foldable range.
