Motorola has officially detailed its upcoming flagship, the Edge 70 Max, confirming a suite of top-tier specifications ahead of its anticipated launch in India. The device will be sold through Flipkart.

Performance and internal hardware

At its core, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is built on an advanced 3nm fabrication process. The company pairs this processor with configurations offering up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM. To manage thermals under sustained loads, Motorola has integrated a sizable 5,500mm² vapor chamber cooling solution. According to the manufacturer, this hardware combination allows the Edge 70 Max to post a benchmark score exceeding three million points on the AnTuTu platform.

Display and design

The handset features a QHD+ LTPO panel with a fluid 144Hz refresh rate. This display is rated for an extraordinary peak brightness of up to 7,000 nits, supports 10-bit color depth, and provides full coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Durability is addressed by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while a remarkably thin bezel design contributes to a 95.12% screen-to-body ratio. The build employs a premium combination of an aluminum frame and a glass rear panel.

Battery and charging

One of the device’s most notable specifications is its substantial 7,100mAh battery, which supports 90W wired fast charging. In a feature that distinguishes it from other models in the Edge 70 series, the Edge 70 Max also incorporates 25W magnetic wireless charging capability. Motorola has not yet released pricing or a specific on-sale date for the phone.
