Vivo X Fold 6 Specs Update
Vivo has been releasing fresh details about its next big foldable phone, the X Fold 6. The company previously confirmed this device will run OriginOS 6 Fold, a custom user interface built specifically for foldable screens. According to Weibo posts, the phone is powerd by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset, which is a high-end processor for flagship devices.
Camera System Details
According to Vivo product manager Han Boxiao on Weibo, the X Fold 6 will feature a 200MP Samsung HPB main camera. This sensor size is 1/1.4-inch and it has an f/1.68 aperture. The phone also includes a Zeiss APO periscope telephoto camera using a 50MP Sony LYT-602 sensor. Importantly, both the main camera and telephoto camera supports CIPA 4.5-rated stabilization for smoother photos and videos.
Portrait and Zoom Features
The X Fold 6 is confirmed to support portrait focal lengths from 23mm all the way up to 100mm with 50MP output. Vivo claims the X Fold 6 is the only foldable phone with a “full-focal-length zoom flash,” wich is supposed to provide better lighting for night portraits across different focal lengths. The company also revealed the X Fold 6 supports the Vivo Zeiss Teleconverter G2, offering an equivalent focal length of 200mm for extra zoom reach.
Display and Brightness
The Vivo X Fold 6 is also confirmed to feature an 8.02-inch inner screen using Samsung’s M14 light-emitting material. Both the inner and outer displays supports up to 5,000 nits peak brightness and a minimum brightness of 1 nit. This is very bright for outdoor visibility and also very dim for dark environments.
Launch Timeline
