Oppo Find N5 First Look: Live Shots & Design Comparison with N3

Oppo is set to unveil the Find N5 foldable phone in February in China. Recently, tech influencer Fixed Focus Digital posted a render based on leaks about the N5. Alongside this, an image giving a first look at the device next to its predecessor, the Find N3, has been shared widely on Weibo.

Design of the Oppo Find N5

The image shows the Find N5 on the left and the Find N3 on the right. The Find N5 is expected to be the thinnest foldable phone in the world, keeping the large round camera module that was a feature of its predecessor. Nonetheless, Oppo has altered the layout of the camera sensors and LED flash for the Find N5. The arrangement of the camera sensors is comparable to that of the OnePlus 13, with the LED flash located in the bottom-right corner and a periscope telephoto camera in the upper-right corner.

In contrast, the LED flash on the Find N3 is outside the camera module. The mock-up render below gives a good indication of what the final design of the Find N5 may look like.

Specifications and Features

Reports indicate that the Find N5 will be about 4mm thick when unfolded and around 9mm when folded. Readers can check out live shots that compare the Find N5’s design to the Find X8, which measures 7.9mm in thickness. Regarding specifications, it is anticipated to have a titanium construction with an IPX8 rating, a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, a 5,700mAh battery that supports 50W magnetic wireless charging, a 2K resolution internal display, a 50-megapixel main camera, and a 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera boasting 3x optical zoom.

Global Release of the Oppo Find N5

In addition to its launch in China, the Find N5 is making its way to several Southeast Asian markets, having already received multiple certifications. Recently, the N5 also got the green light from Thailand’s NBTC authority. It is rumored that the same device will be rebranded as the OnePlus Open 2 in other regions, including the US, Europe, and India.
