Even though Honor’s newest foldable has a slight 4% edge in battery capacity over the Find N5, it still lags behind the Magic V3 and Galaxy Z Fold6, according to early findings from Hardware Zone. Specifically, the Magic V5 drains its battery 13% faster than its predecessor in the PCMark for Android’s Work 3.0 Battery Life test, and 10% faster than the Galaxy Z Fold6.

The charging speed is rated at 66W for wired charging, which is less than the 80W of the N5, and the wireless charging capability is 50W, typical for a flagship device from a Chinese manufacturer.

    Camera Capabilities

    In addition to its ultra-slim design, the Magic V5 is also impressive due to its triple-camera setup. The periscope zoom camera on the back features a 64MP sensor, which is an upgrade from the 50MP sensor found in the Find N5. However, this new sensor has smaller pixels, leaving questions about its performance compared to Oppo’s flagship foldable.

    The starting price for the Magic V5 is around $1,255 or €1,070 and £923 for the 12/256GB variant, going up to $1,535 and €1,300 or £1,128 for the exclusive 1TB model available in China. It’s important to note that these prices may rise by as much as 30% when the device is released in global markets like Europe.
