Lenovo Launches Affordable Tablet with 8 Speakers in the US

Lenovo has made its Tab Plus tablet available to U.S. consumers via its online store. Previously, this device was only available in select international markets, such as the European Union.

Priced at $320, the Lenovo Tab Plus brings a solid feature set, particularly excelling in audio performance.

Lenovo Tab Plus Features

The Tab Plus runs on the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, offering reasonable system performance. Its main highlight is the exceptional 8-speaker sound system. Due to these speakers, the tablet is slightly thicker, measuring about 0.5 inches at the bottom and 0.3 inches at the top.

The device includes a built-in kickstand, allowing you to angle the tablet up to 175 degrees. Moreover, it can function as a Bluetooth speaker, playing audio from other gadgets.

The front of the tablet boasts an 11.5-inch, 2000 x 1200 pixel, 90 Hz IPS display, with optional stylus support for increased productivity.

Technical Specifications

The Lenovo Tab Plus offers 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It is powered by an 8600 mAh battery and features both 8MP front and rear cameras.

Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 5 and Bluetooth 5.2, with a USB 2.0 Type-C port for charging and data transfer, a microSD card slot for additional storage, and a 3.5mm audio jack for wired sound. The tablet supports high-quality 24-bit, 96 kHz audio output through the headphone jack.

The device comes pre-installed with Android 14, and Lenovo commits to providing at least two major OS updates and four years of security updates, ending in June 2028.

Lenovo also offers optional accessories, such as the Lenovo Tab Pen Plus, which features 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity, and a 68-watt USB-C wall charger.
