Honor has introduced the Honor Pad V9, which is now available for preorder in China at around US$274. The standard price starts close to US$288. Buyers will receive a tablet equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Additionally, the Honor Pad V9 can be purchased with options of 12 GB of RAM and either 256 or 512 GB of internal storage. There are three color options available. However, Honor hasn't shared any details about pricing or availability outside of China.
Display and Performance
The Pad V9 boasts an 11.5-inch screen that offers a resolution of 2,800 x 1,840 and supports a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, providing very smooth visuals. Honor states that the LCD panel can reach a peak brightness of 500 cd/m². The device accommodates inputs from a compatible stylus and is powered by the Extreme version of the MediaTek Dimensity 8350, which includes four Cortex-A510 cores and four Cortex-A715 cores that can run as fast as 3.35 GHz, a bump from 3.2 GHz in the regular version. The tablet features a 13MP main camera and an 8MP front-facing camera. It is backed by a 10,100 mAh battery that supports charging at up to 66 watts. The Honor Pad V9 is equipped with Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2 but does not offer cellular connectivity. The weight of the tablet is 475 g (about 1.05 lb).
Software and Features
Shipping with MagicOS 9.0, which is built on Android 15, the tablet includes various AI functionalities to support users in daily tasks. For example, the AI technology can transcribe voice memos into text, pull out important points from digital documents, and even create equations from handwritten notes. Additionally, users can utilize a keyboard for window management, allowing the tablet to function as a laptop alternative.
Honor's latest offering seems to be positioning itself as a versatile tool for both productivity and entertainment, but the lack of information on its global release adds a layer of uncertainty for potential buyers.
