iQOO is still keeping the launch date for the Neo 10 series under wraps but continues to share exciting information about the upcoming smartphones. Today, the company announced on Weibo that the Neo 10 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset. This revelation aligns with earlier leaks that hinted at this processor for the Neo 10 Pro, making it a predictable update. The Dimensity 9400, manufactured using TSMC’s cutting-edge 3nm technology, boasts a CPU setup of 1 + 3 + 4.
Chip Specs and Performance
The chipset includes a powerful Cortex-X925 core running at 3.63GHz, along with three Cortex-X5 cores that can reach speeds of 3.3GHz. Additionally, there are four energy-efficient Cortex-A720 cores operating at 2.4GHz. Furthermore, the Dimensity 9400 is equipped with the Immortalis G925 GPU, which is said to provide a 41% enhancement in performance over its predecessor. Gamers will likely enjoy the 40% increased ray tracing capabilities and a notable 44% boost in power efficiency.
Enhanced Gaming Experience
iQOO is making sure that gaming performance is top-notch, too. The Neo 10 Pro will come with the “Q2” chip, which was seen previously in the iQOO 13 series. This specialized chip activates during demanding activities such as gaming to improve the overall experience. Interestingly, it appears the Neo 10 Pro won’t be the only model in this lineup. Reports suggest that iQOO is also planning to introduce a standard Neo 10 that will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
Battery and Software Features
In addition to these specifications, iQOO has revealed that both the Pro and standard versions will be equipped with a large 6,100mAh battery, which is quite impressive for devices that are looking to maintain a slim profile of just 7.99mm. Lastly, iQOO has confirmed that the Neo 10 series will come pre-installed with OriginOS 5, its latest custom skin over Android. With the expected launch happening by the end of the month, it seems that the official reveal and a closer examination of the Neo 10 series are just around the corner.
